[Fili debated trying to bargain for a moment then mentally shrugged that off. Twenty dollars seemed like a fair price for both and somehow he knew he could trust the guy not to cheat him (or at least not too much).]

[He laughs, taking the money and grabbing one of the bags. It's the truth while also not being specific]

It'd been awhile since I did anything before I needed the extra cash last month, but it didn't take long to get back in the swing of things.

Well, you're good. You could probably set up an online shop and sell that way too instead of just sticking to stuff like this. [Fil makes a random gesture at the spread of tables and artists around them.]

I do! Uh, have an online shop I mean. Friend of mine helped me set it up--here, it's on the cards.

[He pulls one off the stack and hands it over. There's his name (Killian Ryan) and his Etsy shop's name (Ironmake, courtesy of a name generator because God knows Killian is bad at that sort of thing). Along the bottom are runes.

They spell out "thank you", but not in any Earth language]

[Fil takes the card and frowns at the runes. It was odd, he feels like he should know what they mean.]

Killian huh. Nice to meet you. I'm Fil. These runes at the bottom...do they mean anything?

[Killian hesitates only briefly--no one knows he can write in those runes and he hasn't felt the need to tell anyone. His little secret, sort of. (And his way of possibly sussing out Numbered people that might be from his past life. Ever since his mother died, he's felt alone and with Aaron gone off Network it's just gotten worse. He's hoping desperately to find someone, anyone. He doesn't do alone very well.)]

[Fili stares that at the runes....traces them with a finger then repeats it verbally in Khuzdul out loud, almost to himself.]

[Then he gives a quick shake of his head as if shaking off a memory.]

[Killian hears the words and--there's that lightheadedness.

He knows those words.

This guy is Numbered.

This guy is from his past life.

For the first time since that pulse after his mom's death, Killian actually feels a little lightheaded. He wonders if he was one of the people he remembers from that pulse, with Gandalf and the Hobbit. Or maybe that brother he knows he had.

He's silent for a bit, staring a little at Fil before shaking his head. He nearly responds in the same language but opts for English instead]

Yeah, thank you.

[Fil's head snaps up at the reply and stares flabbergasted at Killian. Killian couldn't possibly...this was just a coincidence, right?

No, like Tuatha and Twyleth. We're Irish--Aunt Bess named them all after Celtic mythology.
