Oh! Yeah, I know what they are. Hm...that might work. More creative than jewelry at least.

[He has a young face. There are some hints of long-term stress on it, but they just make him look a little worn-out.]

Cool, cool. There's a couple designs over.... there, you see they've put up things to hang them from so they look a little better than these. Or out at the green tablecloth there's one with prisms that everyone says is only really great in direct sunlight.

Ummm. Creative things... [He leans back where he stands, considering.] I know there's some figurines made to hold rings and jewelry and stuff. Like a goose where you put rings around its neck and its back is a dish for earrings. I got one of those for my sister.

[Fil thinks Julien could probably use a vacation. he squints in the direction his companion points.]

Yeah, I see them. I'll have to check it out. And oh! Figurines to hold jewelry...that sounds awesome! Right now sh'e just using a plain wooden box for her stuff.

Some of those are hand shaped or like a wire tree, if a goose or a dragon or whatever'd be too cutsey. The whole concept seems to be taking off, I stopped by Wallmart like a month ago and saw they were selling things to put glasses on.

[he taps his frames happily. Julien doesn't need to wear glasses anymore but he does anyway, for the look of them.]

Oh, I think I saw those. They're shaped like person's nose, and painted in different patterns and colours. Kinda neat actually. Though my sister is all contacts these days and ignores her glasses unless she has no other choice.

[Fil only wears them when he's reading small print or working at the drafting table for long periods of time.]

Yeah! Aww. [Julien fakes a realistic-sounding laugh, unable to laugh normally these days.] I can't stand contacts. She's a brave woman to touch her eyes like that! How about you?

[Fil chuckles as well.] That's me as well. I don't even want to think about touching my own eyeballs. I'm just lucky my eyes are good enough not to need glasses or contacts for every day stuff.

Good on you! Yeah, I'm more or less like that. I uh... well, I don't really need these glasses, I just like to wear them. Is that too hipstery, or would I need thicker frames to qualify?

[Julien's eyes are kind of odd. Since he's apparently done things to his hair, people tend to assume he wears vanity lenses. But no one's mentioned his eyes for a while, and his cover story slipped his mind. Good job, dude.]

[Fil leans a bit forward to take a closer look. The eyes are a bit odd, but he couldn't pinpoint why.] Nah. Hipster would be if you've got them in every colour of the rainbow and changing them up every day to match your clothes or something.

[Julien lifts his chin a little with a grin. He loves attention, and mocking that love.]

There's a thought! I've got a couple different pairs... Sounds a little too much like effort, though.

[Fil still can't place those eyes, so he drops it and moves back to a normal distance.]

I saw that in an ad from a glasses shop, showing a girl who got several pairs to match her mood just because it was cheap. It probably is too much effort for most people...and too much money.
