His legacy was of one who had blazed brilliantly, but cracked at the very end when it mattered most.

Though he has seen the answer to his enduring question in the eyes of his killer, and can therefore depart the world of the living knowing that at least he wasn't wrong, he isn't sure the destination will be worth the effort.
