[Little does Tony know, but Richard probably understands. Better than most could, at least. Another pause and curious glance. He doesn't like to assume or over stay his welcome anywhere, but Tony's not the type to say no to an offer of somewhere to sleep. Especially from someone he likes.]

[Oh, Tony. You're lucky he likes you enough to not kick you under the table when you ask that question. He just shakes his head, breaking off a piece of his shortcake between his thumb and forefinger.]

[Well, if you consider the very different ways Dirk and his mother refer to Richard as 'Dick', it's understandable why her Dick privileges were never instated. Dirk doesn't even flinch at the flick though, only a quirk of his eyebrow at his older double.]

[Richard cares a great deal about his nephew, despite what his sister might say about him being unreliable, unstable and an all around bad influence. All of those things may be true but when it comes to Dirk there's not a more dependable guy to be found.]

'Sides, he wouldn't forgive me if I left you outside when I knew about it. [Excuses, excuses.. it's very little to do with Dirk, really. He just gives a damn about this kid.]
