[Amy has always wanted to be a cook, but she didn't want this to be how she got her start: serving at a pretzel place on the food court.
Just. The substandard ingredients. The fact that they were slathered in salt and butter to the point of excess. The fact that they looked like they'd been broiled to a crispy, tasteless death. It all added up to make her feel nauseous.
Unfortunately, she also needed the money for school. That meant she needed another job on top of working at the family bar, so here she was: in culinary hell.

[it started raining late in the afternoon, and wouldn't you know it, Amy hadn't brought an umbrella with her that morning. In her defense, there was absolutely no rain forecast, so this had taken everyone else completely by surprise as well.
So, you might see a teenager running through the streets, getting absolutely drenched by the sudden downpour. It wasn't just the rain that made her run, however... she had to hurry in order to help out at home as well.]

[That said he tears into the stale old rubbery pretzel dog like it's a hunk of meat on a bone... only to just tear off the bread covering, leaving the weenie to flop around looking over cooked and awful. If he notices he is hiding it well, looking like he's completely assured of his own awesomeness.
