[Well, given they're on a bus, it's probably not the best idea to raise a commotion. And this kid just wants to see his comic. Closing the comic he had hidden in his larger book, he hands the newest release of the Revengers to him.]

Here, if you would like to look at it...

[Honestly, he's not doing it to be nice, he's doing it so the other will leave him alone. It's a tactful strategy, no?

And if he loses that copy, he can easily go get another one.]

[Evan accepts the issue with a grin and pages through it quickly. Don't want to steal someone else's copy, after all. There's a few minutes of silence, a laugh as he turns a page...

And accidentally rips it.]

[Well, he doesn't really try to hide the displeasure on his face, but he keeps all comments to himself. Yeah, he looks pretty peeved, but with a deep breath he composes himself.]

[He will probably be back to the mall soon anyway, so he can pick up another copy then.]

[...Well, maybe he should. But he ought to at least make up for it. Frantically Evan digs out his wallet and shoves some money into Hubert's face - a few dollars, enough to pay for the ripped comic.]

[Hubert just stares at the money for a moment before he gingerly takes the money out of the teen's hand.]

It's a fair exchange, I suppose.

[He could have added something about him having to go back to get a new copy, but he sees no reason to add something like that. It'd only be something to do out of anger and spite.]

Just remember in the future to take care of other's belongings better. I hope this was a good lesson.

[His words have a little bite to them, however his voice is soft. So yeah, he's kinda mad, but the other obviously recognized and made up for his mistake.]
