Questions Meme

As first posted here by Emely!:

1. Make a thread for yourself in this post, listing the characters you play and your own name.
2. Go find someone's thread to jump and ask them A QUESTION. The question can be anything, RP related is common, of course, but not necessary. Who do you want to app most? What does Character A think about Character B? What's your favorite flavor of icecream?
3. Answer all questions asked of you! Once you have answered, end your response with a question for the person who first questioned you. This is important to keep the discussion going and going.
4. This goes back and forth indefinitely until someone gets tired and can't reply anymore.
5. Have a lot of fun! ♥

Season 2 begins tomorrow, all, and there've been plenty of developments and new blood since the first round - get the words flowin', get to know/re-know some of your gamemates, and/or simply shoot the breeze~

For Characters I prefer to play Original over Canon unless there is a Canon character I really, really like. I always seem to stick between kids and teens and they're always guys. I usually aim for characters who have a lot of optimism and a sense of right or wrong. Call it a cliche but I do like the kinds of characters that can always remain positive despite bad situations. However, I also like playing them more in a complex way. Mostly, in original writing I try and weave in the classic hero traits and more underlying issues together rather than keeping either or mainly as a front, examples being like HEROIC FACE ALL THE TIME but a tragic soul underneath and vice versa. It's rare that I play a villain but when I do it means that there's usually something about them I like. Prime example at the moment being Mithos who's a fallen hero with le tragic back story and just over all a very sorrowful character.

Plots, I tend to like a lot of action and story driven stuff. Be it mod or player I love when there's a mystery/journey and some fights along the way. STE being probably one of my favourite plots to play in so far because there's enough freedom to help move plot forward than wait for whatever threat on the outside to drop in some time to time messing with characters, but not too much and go "well i dunno what to do". I do like comedy though and I do always like seeing it when I play and as long as there's lots of adventure i can always have fun.

Arcs, I'm going to assume the hero's journey counts as one? I dunno I like seeing a character start from small beginnings and be called to greater action. But, I like lots of stuff with drama and events that help push a character to try and be better than what they are and finding themselves and getting what they need from life.

What do you prefer more: Original characters or Canon characters?

Probably Kingdom Hearts. It was my favourite game since I was a little kid and probably because it gave me a lot of hope growing up. And it just kind of made me want to make a story that'd help give other kids hope when I got older.

What canon left you with a strong impression?
