Questions Meme

As first posted here by Emely!:

1. Make a thread for yourself in this post, listing the characters you play and your own name.
2. Go find someone's thread to jump and ask them A QUESTION. The question can be anything, RP related is common, of course, but not necessary. Who do you want to app most? What does Character A think about Character B? What's your favorite flavor of icecream?
3. Answer all questions asked of you! Once you have answered, end your response with a question for the person who first questioned you. This is important to keep the discussion going and going.
4. This goes back and forth indefinitely until someone gets tired and can't reply anymore.

Season 2 begins tomorrow, all, and there've been plenty of developments and new blood since the first round - get the words flowin', get to know/re-know some of your gamemates, and/or simply shoot the breeze~

What was the process like to sort out Kanaya's AU background? Did you consider any concepts before Kanti's, was there anything more minor you considered for Kanti but dropped?

Kanti's AU background is actually relatively unchanged from it's initial concept. She was always going to be Indian, it was just a matter of how much culture I wanted to put into her upbringing and personality. For instance, her mother is a lot more traditional than her father is, and is a practicing Smartist Hindu. Kanti used to be more active in these kinds of things before she simply became less observant of them. In the end I decided to leave it mostly off to the side for fear of not being able to do it enough justice, having her take mostly after her father, who is more Americanized.

I flip-flopped on how much impact I wanted her to have in social situations. I wasn't sure whether or not I wanted her to be a complete dork or a social butterfly. There was also a fleeting thought to make her build more short and curvy, but I was too enamored with making her this not-quite-graceful giant woman who doesn't really understand putting up with certain things.

What are your plans with Kanti right now? Anything in particular you're looking forward to?

Once her latest echo gets sorted out, I figured I'd have her post while she's healing about Karson + Ava + the Mafia. At this point I have few things I'm looking forward to:

1. The possibility of a revenge game with the people who killed her bff.
2. Finding out that she might have been less of a psychopath than she currently thinks
3. A successful ice-cream outing with the Dians because god she needs something good in her life

If Alan had to pilot a Jaeger, who do you think he'd be the most Drift compatible with?
