Secondly, Rakka, and her canon as a whole was actually the reason I started staring at Save The earth.
Although Haibane Renmei leaves a lot of its lore and backstory up for speculation and debate, it's almost canon though, from the viewers standpoint, that the Haibane, and the world around them, is some kind of purgatory or limbo. And the Haibane are stuck there for a while before they take their day of flight. Multiple times in the show, Rakka wonders what her life was like before she woke up as a Haibane. She knows she had a home somewhere, apparently outside the city walls; she could feel it, but she doesn't remember it, nor does she remember her parents or anything else.
In essence, Save The Earth is Haibane Renmei. Rakka is basically repeating her story in its basic form. That's why I chose her for this.
SOOO, favorite Baccano moment?

HARD CHOICE, but honestly? The moment I met Isaac and Miria. It usually takes about three episodes for me to figure out if I love a show. But about five minutes into episode 2, where the audience gets to see Isaac and Miria's interaction and though process in that mine... I was hooked. I was laughing so hard I had to pause the episode just to catch my breath. That single scene stuck out to me so much because not only did it completely sell me on the show, it began the process of making Isaac and Miria my favorite characters in all of fiction.
If that moment wasn't it, my favorite is probably the end of episode 13, where the action suddenly flashes to 2001. That moment where Isaac and Miria finally figure out their immortal is probably my favorite twist of all time. I don't even care if it doesn't count as a plot twist. It feels like some sort of bizarre plot/comedy twist. That probably doesn't exist, but I don't care I loved that moment so much.
I'd... prefer no spoilers since I haven't seen Haibane Renmei BUT I PROMISE I WILL: what drew you to Rakka?

YOU SHOULD WATCH IT. It's made by the guy that made Serial Experiment Lain, but it's a lot softer and nicer. It has its moments though.
And Rakka..... I guess it's a bit confusing for me. I don't usually go for protagonists, but Rakka is just such a lovely character. She's nice and sweet and quiet and strong and constantly looking for answers to everything around her. She's an absolute angel (pardon the pun) and I love her.

SO, SEL is an apparently famous anime that Yoshitoshi ABE who created Haibane renmei, had a hand in making. Not really important, but whatever.

HMM, that's a tough question. I guess I'd have to say Dan in Inkadia. It'd be so fun to see Ink City!Dan swearing revenge on the Architect and the mayor.

Dan's attempts to comfort Fluttershy in MLJ. Not because he likes her, but because he thinks she'll stop getting Mr. Mumbles food if she has an emotional breakdown. It's pretty much just him trying to keep his ranting and raving under control while she asks him if he's friends with the people he hates the most in that game.
And Jacuzzi arrival in the Dian house. It's full of friendship and crying and adorableness and I love it. Rakka's arrival will probably be just as adorable too, let's be honest.

And I just realized we're doing the opposite of Veronica offering Dan a place to stay. It's your turn now.Doge. Seriously, dogs are so awesome and happy and cuddly. Probably why I somehow ended up with four.
