Test Drive Meme

HEL-LO, EARTH'S NEW HEROES.
Test Drive Meme!
Scenarios:
> Cleanup of downtown Locke City still has a ways to go. It looks like that shop you were planning on another trip to this week is closed for the time being. Or the entire block is trashed and you'll be needing an alternate route to work. Or your workplace is trashed, if not some real estate you had in the area, and you'll be needing a helping hand - or are trying to offer one!
> Help, help, I've been robbed - your bag or wallet's just been snatched, or is in the process of being snatched. Catch the snatcher or rough them up - you may or may not be surprised, if you come to blows or a chase, to find on throwing a punch that they're much quicker and/or sturdier than you'd have expected. Maybe someone will dive in to back you up.
> Monster encounter! The above or you were robbed (or, for all you could tell, misplaced something) a while ago, and one of the objects you lost seems to have come back to you, if not the way you recognize it. Ayup, getting backup might be a good idea.
> Transportation/travel. You're at an airport or train station, whether to escape or take a tour to a strange-events hotspot, or plain go on an innocent vacation. Mix up your bags or timetables, grab a pre-ride snack, chat up those with the same destination, get or give directions, find yourself receiving an ill-timed item Echo in front of security - whatever you can think up!
> Say - is that one of those superhumans you've spied on the street? Yes, I do believe it is - you've seen them on the news/read about them, that or their looks give them away! Go on and ask questions of them, be it for serious answers or an autograph, depending on who you are.
> ...And it looks like you're a superhuman yourself. Looks like that hollowed-out feeling you got was followed by a mutation, or some strange thing in your brain. How're you going to come to grips with it?
> Wildcard/Etc. Make up your own!

Okay. Okay so. These powers? I think I have mine back. If anyone needs healing? I can help. Just. Promise you won't freak out with how I can do it? That's not the important thing here. The important thing is I can help if any of you get hurt playing hero, okay?
Completely unrela--. Okay, it is related. Anyone really, really good at fixing hair? Mine kind of grew. Uh. Like. Seventy feet overnight so? Yeah. Help with that? Would be great.
Superhero sighting!
[So. Of course she has heard of the stories, seen the news. But somehow, Solana never expected this. To actually see one of the superheroes in person. Her green eyes are wide in amazement and she may or may not be refraining from giddy excitement and all but bouncing on her toes. While the other half of her wants to run in the opposite direction the moment she spots them because. Superheroes. It probably means something dangerous is going on and she really shouldn't want anything to do with that.
But an autograph won't hurt. Right? Of course not. So long as they don't look busy. Solana will just. Siiiidle over and procure and pen and paper from her bag, holding them out to the super.]
I know, you probably get asked this a million times a day, but...can you? Please?
Discovering Superpowers:
[First. It was the hair. Now, apparently it can heal. Just what Solana needs. At least when its braided it isn't too much of a pain, just reaching her ankles. It sways with her movement as she walks through the park, a shortcut to get to the bakery for her lunch break.
She pauses when she hears someone crying, looking around to find a child having fallen from climbing a tree trying to get their ball. She rushes over, calming and comforting them and telling them not to freak out as she checks them for injuries. The arm obviously broken. She bites her lip, checking around again to try and make sure they seem to be alone before singing. Her hair glows, lighting up and drawing attention to them under the tree as she heals him, his eyes widening and he opens his mouth as if to scream when she is done and he unravels the hair.....]

Even if her glowing hair, of all things, hadn't been the first thing he'd seen of her, he would've wanted to talk to her anyway. Someone with that much hair? Oh, they had to be interesting. So he approaches. Completely casually, as if something like this is completely normal.]
You know, I've seen a lot of magic tricks in my life, but I've gotta confess that this is a new one. [He glances at the kid and smiles.] Must've been mighty impressive from up close, judgin' from junior's face there.

It's....still pretty new to me too. I just figured if I can help with it....then I should try to. I don't mean to like, freak anyone out or scare them. I know it's....weird, with my hair and all, but. With so much fighting and weird things going on, it's something I can do to help?
[The boy simply nods, still wide eyed and staring at the hair before his gaze turns to the now healed limb.]

[Eager for a better look, Claire walks up even closer to them. He looks the kid up and down a second, before looking back at the girl.]
So how does it work? I mean the... the glow-y thing. [Isn't he such a master with words?] If you don't mind me askin', of course.

[She looks to Claire through her hair, still obviously uncertain and new to the whole power thing and quite how to deal with it. Or, talking about it like this now she has been found out.]
I don't know. I think I remember a flower? It's just....a song I remember. I sing that song, incantation, and it glows and I can heal people. Make them better, heal their injuries or....keep them young.
[No point lying about it now he has seen her. The healing part is obvious from what he already observed, after all. She should have figured this whole healing thing would be discovered eventually. Her hair itself is kind of hard to miss or hide as it is without the added healing power to deal with for that matter.
She simply smiles and gives a wave as the boy gets up and thanks her before running off to play again.]
