> Cleanup of downtown Locke City still has a ways to go. It looks like that shop you were planning on another trip to this week is closed for the time being. Or the entire block is trashed and you'll be needing an alternate route to work. Or your workplace is trashed, if not some real estate you had in the area, and you'll be needing a helping hand - or are trying to offer one!
> Help, help, I've been robbed - your bag or wallet's just been snatched, or is in the process of being snatched. Catch the snatcher or rough them up - you may or may not be surprised, if you come to blows or a chase, to find on throwing a punch that they're much quicker and/or sturdier than you'd have expected. Maybe someone will dive in to back you up.
> Monster encounter! The above or you were robbed (or, for all you could tell, misplaced something) a while ago, and one of the objects you lost seems to have come back to you, if not the way you recognize it. Ayup, getting backup might be a good idea.

[ Alexi's never had any pets. His parents just didn't think it was a good idea with his... issues. But he's always figured that if he could get one, it'd been one of those awesome shepherds. Something that would be great for playing ball with or just running around for the heck of it. The little scrap of fur currently yapping its head off at him is nothing like that. He'd expect to see a toy dog like that with some yuppie girl, not another guy. Not that he'd ever say anything like that out loud.

Instead, he just manages his own awkward grin, half-wondering if it's actually him upsetting the dog. People said animals could sense when something's not right about a person. ]

Hey, don't worry about it. She's probably just saying hello, right?

[Dogs can smell evil. Or maybe its Alexi's cologne irritating her nose. Really, its hard to tell with this dog, all that is certain is that she seems intent on yapping at him, causing Alexander to tug her back a bit more.]

Something like that.

[ He inches back slightly, unsure about the response and keeping his attention on the dog. His tone is a touch more nervous. Less so about the dog and more about what could happen if the dog tries anything. ]

As long as she's not a biter... I hear those little ones can be nippy.

[Noticing the unease of the boy, Alexander reaches down to pick up the dog. Not that it stops her from yapping, but she's not as frequent about it.]

She doesn't bite. She's usually more noise than anything else.

Guess it's something you get used to. She must've been a real handful with everything going on.
