nadia how do you feel about this guy that is decidedly not simon

He is indeed not Simon. But lbr, close enough.

She thinks he's sad :( And that makes her very sad :( But at the same time she feels like he's full of good intentions so he's obviously a good person. And not everyone can pilot a giant robot right off the bat, it has to be super hard and it's not like he went to giant robot school so she hardly thinks he's as much of a fuck up as he thinks he is. When she starts getting Simon echoes, though, he is going to ping her so hard about him she's not going to know what to do with herself. He has a 13 year old buddy whether he likes it or not.

Also he has a really cute dog. What kind of bad person would have a really cute dog?

NADIA WANTS TO CALL HIM A FRIEND SO BAD but she is aware enough of his personality to know they are certainly not there yet.

But she appreciates that he takes the time to spend time with her and explain what's going on. Otherwise she would've been pretty clueless. After him warning her about telling her dad she's probably going to come to him with echo related problems. When her eyes change, he's going to be the first person she calls. ("Ken my pupils are pink." "Now they are shaped like flowers." "I don't think this is normal.") He's a valuable resource, and she'd really like him to be a friend! Eventually. Someday.
