It happened because derp.

Marina doesn't hate him as much as she likes to pretend otherwise honestly! She's just been freaked out by a few certain fictional creepies since she was little, and the thought of being possessed - which he can do - is the worst of it. Despite that, he's such a putz that she can't get too worked up about it, although she still won't let him live down the dickcident.

Wow well Jasmine just sort of crept up on her before she even realized it. It was nice having someone else who could have a huge snarky attitude about damn near everything that goes on, especially when Marina was starting to befriend Lily too, and for a while that's pretty much all it was. At some point before Jasmine confessed though she started to really care about the people she was getting along with, and the fact that she was getting along with so many people she wouldn't have before, and Jasmine was one of the most fun of all those.

Then she confessed and freaked Marina out for a few weeks, but it also got her to realize she was deeply in denial about her orientation when she realized that the thought of it was pretty great! Now hormones have her clinging to Jasmine, and a lot of it is still just friendship + infatuation the way teenagers do it, but she cares deeply about how well Jasmine's doing, and in turn wants to be a better person for her.

Ha ha, wow. I'm impressed. XD But yeah, that's a pretty good assessment of their relationship.

Frankly Rakka's hugely dorky, but Marina's a good girl now. Sorta. A little bit. Mostly, Rakka's too quietly pleasant to make fun of, so Marina's nice to her instead. The angel deal is interesting to her with her own religion too, since she's been a little worried about how this entire ordeal affects that.

Well, Marina's not the only one wondering about the ramifications of being a walking, taking biblical reference. Rakka's still afraid of turning into a pillar of fire or something.

At least she's too dorky to be made fun of.

Bird friend is cool! Also birdy, which is weird from Marina's perspective, and he's not someone she always actively seeks out, but talking to him is pleasant and goodness knows she needs as much levelheadedness thrown at her when she can get it. To her he's mostly just one of the nice people she's amazed she gets along with nowadays, and it makes her feel a bit better about herself now that she's realized it.

She likes Marisa. Marisa's funny, Marisa's got attitude about a lot of things, and while she's kind of an overly excited idiot sometimes, variety is the spice of life or something. Mostly, chatting sort of normally at the big sleepover endeared Marisa to her, so while she's not someone Marina's going to actively go to for advice or deep conversation she's pretty cool.

Lily is number two most important fellow numbered next to Jasmine, and pretty much only because she's actually dating Jas - otherwise they'd be equal. While she gels with Jasmine's sense of humor and has a little more fun just casually chilling with her, Lily is someone who Marina thanks for a lot of her personal development. At first she was sort of just pretending at friendship with nice people for her own safety, but she's bad at not turning pretend into reality and Lily, while a huge dork, isn't a pushover and isn't a total girl scout. Getting some positive acknowledgement from a friend for behaving well did a lot to improve her behavior and she's realized it.

All that aside, while Lily isn't a party girl, Marina's smarter than she thinks and actually appreciates some of what Lily talks about, enough to enjoy just chatting about whatever. Also, embarrassing Lily is a blast.

Sasha is frankly, in Marina's opinion, a total dumbass. In a good way, often, even if Marina doesn't get memes and internet culture all that way and thinks it's stupid and dorky, but when she's embarrassing other people it's funny, and she seems like a generally not bad person otherwise.

If Marina starts paying more attention she might start to ship Sasha with Matt a little bit.

Hello. Not much of an opinion yet, he's mostly just asked her questions and she's pretty cool with bland factual questions. Mostly, he seems boring to her more than anything - but also smart. Smart people are useful.

Of the whole group, the one Marina has the least opinion of, and also the one who grates on her the most. Seems stuck up to Marina, but is nice enough in general and to her friends that it doesn't actually bother her much. Mostly not a problem.

Cool girl! Throws parties and Marina likes a party. Seems pretty bright too, and is a Precure, and at this point Marina has a predilection towards trying to get along with those.
