A new season, a new cast, a new and/or advanced brace of friend- and foe- (and other-)ships.

even though she's not happy with him at the moment

SHE'S NOT HAPPY AT ALL.

Nick, she likes you. She isn't carefree or cheerful and arguably doesn't even really know how to be happy or how to maintain even casual relationships very well, so while most people that give off those vibes annoy her, some of them she really looks up to, in a way.

So it was kind of nice that they had this sort of something to keep in contact about? It gave her a reason she knew how to process so they could keep in touch.

Unfortunately trust is a big issue and her echoes aren't helping, so having been "ditched" really did a number on her. NOT THAT YOU GUYS KNEW hahaha sorry I laughed when I saw that Nick and Hajime and Lyall were leaving for the full moon because I knew it could only have negative consequences for Rei. (I am not complaining about this.)

So she won't be the friendliest person to talk to... sorry, Nick. She'll interact with him on a "If I have to" basis, probably in connection with Lyall or Anthony, though Lyall's kind of in the same boat.
