He's not sure what to think of him at the moment because they have only communicated through telepathy so far. He knows he's connected to his past somehow but is otherwise still guarded about him. He feels guilty for ignoring him so long, so he's trying to compensate by trying to help get him out. But otherwise, he's reserving his opinion until he interacts with him in actuality.
