The All-Purpose CR/Plotting Meme

Let's pass away some of the rest of the month's quiet.

As always, the meme's open for making arrangements with and between not only current but potential characters in StE; there will be a header under which to comment with potential characters. If you have an app in that has not been processed, please, don't be shy about commenting around for prospective CR and plans on entry - though, of course, remember that plans will be tentative!

For characters of either status, toss up a comment with your character's reincarnated name, pre-incarnated name, canon, and occupation in the subject line. E.x. "Cinderella | Rarity | My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic | Family Pet" In the body, of course, place any information you see fit; go on ahead and use this form if you'd like a place to start or take it however you feel -

Character: Steven Huguenot
Pre-Incarnation: Shotaro Hidari, half-boiled noir-loving detective and HUGE NERD. Sometimes joins bodies with some other guy and fights crime.
Location: Locke City, NJ. Subject to change for the summer.
Occupation/Position: Steven is finishing up his freshman year of art school. He's a sequential art major, meaning he comics. Steven is a comics nerd and an artist of a webcomic; he recently sold prints on his website to benefit local charities, featuring art of reincarnates who fought against Wise Snake. Steven loves heroes - but can't imagine being one himself. He's very friendly and a hot-blooded, protective person, without any of the need for parental approval his past life had, but he thinks of himself as a simple artist.

Pre-Network CR Opportunities: Art school buddies, people he knew while he was in Locke for elementary school, people who have met him at the craft store (where he teaches cake decorating classes), neighbors from his college student-heavy apartment complex relatively close to Northmont and LCU, or comic shop regulars. Fans of his webcomic or artists he's met online, people who have attended local conventions, etc.

Open/Wanted CR: More nerds. Detectives. Henshin heroes. People who are going to argue with him about local politics, bc that's a thing he's only going to get more vocal about.

Haunts: The local comic shops, the Joann's he works at, school and several local coffee shops, where he goes to escape his apartment when he's feeling frazzled.
Potential Subjects of Interest: Art. Nerdy shit about superheroes, especially the Spiderman expy. Local Locke City politics.

Other Info: I want him to build up his self-confidence some as a heroic character before I shatter any and all of his self-esteem so the W Driver may be coming back this month?? Idk I have to coordinate all of that. Basically, I just want him to get settled on the network so I can make him even more uncomfortable.

i need an excuse for him to read the long goodbye at some point sooner rather than later, perhaps they should run into each other! he doesn't do gunpla or anything but maybe she's at the comics/hobby shop at the same time he is? or they're in the same starbucks while he's on the network on his ipad or something.

alternately, they wind up on the same reddit and get into an argument about big bad beetleborgs and that is the extent of their cr until they accidentally meet in public.

steven will probably be a nerd at him. maybe ask to draw him. be a general embarrassment, etc.

Jack will resist all nerdery as hard as he can. Which leaves him open to get called a huge hypocrite when he finally screws up and nerdrants at the network about his own dorky interests, so yay?

steven's personal art is very mainstream comics-esque, and he's been drawing and posting warmup sketches of the various network heroes on his art blog, etc. he drew a really dramatic wise snake battle fanart print like a month ago and sold that for charity... he's probably been practicing drawing ridiculous rubbersuit style monsters like in his canon for the various network heroes to punch in the face.

so... danny gets to look ~cool~. how exciting for everyone.
