The All-Purpose CR/Plotting Meme

As always, the meme's open for making arrangements with and between not only current but potential characters in StE; there will be a header under which to comment with potential characters. If you have an app in that has not been processed, please, don't be shy about commenting around for prospective CR and plans on entry - though, of course, remember that plans will be tentative!

Occupation/Position: Superhero, basically

Standard story, really. Epic quest to save the world, small team of teenagers, you know the drill. This one's got some questions of loyalties, but nothing too bizarre. And now he's an ordinary kid again, 'cept for turning into his old self. (I don't even know where I was going with this, or what kind of accent/dialect/whatever I was going for.)

Pre-Network CR Opportunities: His sister Ama is quite available, and I'm also always open to more distant family, particularly on his father's side. (Those grandparents were in Nebraska last I determined, but such things can change, and others could be anywhere.) Various friends are also kosher - he's had a couple of years at LCU now, and a whole childhood in Locke leading up to that.

Open/Wanted CR: Whatever you got, man. Bonus points for more new-to-the-network Seedlings who might team up with his sister for great aggravation.

Haunts: Fred's recently taken to "patrolling" (read: wandering) the streets of Locke. He's also reasonably likely to be found in places with books.

Potential Subjects of Interest: Use of any kind of elemental power will get his attention, and he's likely to respond to anything that gives him an Echo. (Sorry, I don't think I can narrow it down better than that.)

At some point, Hajime and Fred need to run into each other while "patrolling," I think.

I daresay I could get behind this. Would Hajime be going around as the Lord of the Bugmen, or does he transform at the sight of trouble? Because Fred does the latter (though it's more clothes-changing than actual transformation), and I'd find it amusing if he suits up because he mistakes Hajime for trouble.

Oh man, this might work out really well, for Hajime has a third form that his motorcycle will transform alongside. He's not recognizable as the Lord of the Bugmen that way, but he does like riding around town on the motorcycle every now and then because this is what one does with a fancy transforming motorcycle. He could so be mistaken for trouble while riding around like that.

Ooooh, yes. Can he switch between that form and the Lord of the Bugmen directly, and would he do so if confronted by a masked superhero? Though a "whoa hey it's me" "oh. whoops. *unwilling to undisguise in the open, so make awkward conversation*" would probably work either way.

He can switch directly, though he's going to try very, very hard not to do that right off the bat.

Could Fred handle an armored guy fleeing on a motorcycle so as to avoid discussing things?

Well... depends on what you mean by "handle". He doesn't have any kind of mobility powers, so he wouldn't be able to catch up barring extremely heavy traffic. On the other hand, he probably wouldn't be unduly upset, especially if he's got no real reason to think said armored guy's actually done anything wrong. He might well ask the network if they know anything about anyone matching such a description.

Hehe, and Hajime doesn't want to be found out, that might be interesting...

OR! I just had a totally different thought on how to approach this--say there's some kind of crime in progress, and they could both independently show up to stop it and chaos ensues. Fred could even come in a little late at the worst possible moment and it could all look like Hajime's fault, plus if it got Hajime on foot so he couldn't drive off right away...

OOOoooh. I like this idea.

But I have no idea how to set up the scene for that kind of mistake. I mean, I can definitely justify Fred showing up a little later than optimal, but I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out what, specifically, he'd show up into.

Now that I see the post you've put up, I can see how to set it up! And so you're gonna get a tag before I lose this idea.../runs off
