[By this point, Dani ended up standing up and flaring out her wings. They had already torn and cut it enough to make it pointless to keep them in the what used to be a backpack. Again, she lashed out with another orb, trying to at least distract the mobster with what she felt safe enough using.]

[Even though she was trying to fight..she still looked terrified.]

[Yep, she was definitely one of the Numbered she's been hearing about, as well as being only a little girl. A scared little girl that can at least help her fight by the looks of things.]

[The orb managed to hit the guy in the hand and make him drop his weapon as well as stun him, giving Yelena the perfect chance to go at him with a powerful right hook. The force of her blow, backed by a lot of righteous fury, sent him off his feet. Once down, she kneed him in the face, making sure he's out cold.]

Yeah, you guys just stay right there. This kid's not going anywhere!

[She stood there, wings flared out to make her look bigger for a moment longer, her eyes looking about as it more could come out of the walls. Though once she felt somewhat safe those wings drooped again and were held close to her back.

After a deep breath, she looked up at the woman that took the men out mostly.]

...You are a good person...right? Or is this a 'I'm taking her' thing?

[She really wanted to cuss those guys out, but... Well, it wasn't the best idea to do that in front of a kid.

Noticing the girl had calmed down a bit, she smiled softly at her.]

I'm not going to hurt you or take you away, okay?

[Figuring out what that memory meant can wait until later.]

Oh....You have enough already?

[...She's seriously confused. Blame the gang member she ran into one day. BUT she's still going to go with it.]

They didn't like anyone different. I dunno what they wanted to do...But thank you for helping me.

[Of course she she is going to be shy.]

[Well, that was a thing. She'll blink confusedly at that before shrugging it off. Anyway, she carefully approaches and offers a hand.]

Come on, let's go before they start waking up.

[Good idea on that one. It was difficult to explain as it was.

Dani stared at the offered hand for a moment before taking it with the tiniest of smiles. Even though it did occur to her about her wings.]

Okay Miss...Thank you. Oh...People will see my wings though.

[Well, once she took it, she was going to lead her out of this alley and to somewhere safe. Preferably Dani's home.]

Just tell them it's a costume or something. And call me Yelena.

Okay Miss Yelena. I'm Dani..It's nice to meet you.

[A bright smile from a shy little girl. although she's still nervous about her wings, keeping them close to her back.]

I guess so..but what if more come and see?

I guess I'd tell 'em to mind their own business.

[She figures if she doesn't go flapping them, she'd be okay, and the whole costume idea might work. Dani's wings looked like metal and stuff, so that helps.]

Do you live near here, or do we have to go on a hike?

[Not a issue, as she tended to keep them still until she was alone or with people who knew.

But she shakes her head a bit and points to a nice area just up the road.]

No..I'm in the neighborhood just a few blocks away. I was coming home from the park when I got caught like that.

[That'll make things that much simpler. Did that backpack she was using get torn while she was in the park?]

Alright, show me the way, and we'll be there in no time.

[Pretty much and then when she was grabbed, it got torn worse that one wing popped out. After that it was slightly pointless to keep on.]

[And away she leads!, keeping her eyes to the ground though.]

[Well then, it's a good thing someone's keeping an eye out for more trouble. Now, she follows Dani's lead.]

Going after kids, though... That really p- uh, I mean ticks me off!

[Sometimes shyness was a curse rather then...Well...Never mind. It's Dani here.]

Some people don't like us at all...There are some who'd rather us all go away.

[She's pretty adorable, and not really much of a danger to anyone as far as she can see. Well, they'll soon be at the block Dani lives.]

You don't seem bad to me...

Just because we do not seem bad doesn't mean people still won't like us.

[She looks up and smiles, showing off her fangs.]

Especially when we look different and have to do different things to stay alive.

Uh, wow. Are you like a vampire or something? I never heard of any having wings like those...

[She's a bit perplexed, but at the same time she's not afraid of being bitten or anything.]

Maybe. Unless I'm a dragon or something! A little girl shaped one even!

[She's going to roar and giggle a little bit.]

Even if I was, not going to bite people..that'd be wrong.

Yeah, I don't think anyone would like it if you were all 'I vant to suck your blood' at people.

[She looks around for anywhere that might be Dani's house.]

[Another happy giggle and she looks about.]

Oh! There's my house!

[Normal looking fro the neighborhood. She stops.]

[Well, there doesn't look like there's any signs of trouble around here.]
