1) Post an anonymous rumour about your character or others in StE! They can be silly ("I hear Julien and Torin have a secret nest full of bird eggs they're raising together!") or serious ("A reliable source told me that Danny is the one leaking info to the mafia!")
2) Wash, rinse, repeat.
3) Respond ICly to other people's rumours.
4) It's almost like I'm in high school again! Except if any of you start calling me four-eyes I'll bash yer fookin 'eads in I swear on me mum.

I like kids, but I kinda don't think I'm mature enough for 'em. Really I'm better as some sort of uncle.

Maybe so, maybe no! I think part of maturity is financial stability, though.

This is true! I am still working on that, myself.

It's hard enough providing for yourself, isn't it?

Especially when the jobs you can get are a bit limited, yes.

And I'm not sure how good I'd be as a parent, even if I had steady income. I'm not sure just how to be good, aside from trying to be like my sister - and she's a lot more serious than me.

I think a lot of it comes from instinct--you don't know what to do until you have to do it.

Well, sure, but with anyone, how good a parent you are also depends on your experience and how good a parent yours were.

Don't parrots give their babies names? Or is it just the little green ones?

I...don't remember my parents very well. Side effect of being in the zoo's breeding program; I don't think my mother was cut out for parenthood.

I was!

...and I still managed to bite plenty of people despite being properly socialized.

That's how it is with kids sometimes, too. You never know what you're going to get when you sign on to take care of one.

I can imagine. I witnessed a remarkable variety of human young at the zoo.

Screaming, yelling, crying, whining, hitting, even more biting...

There would've been a few quiet ones in there, but they're camoflaged with the noisy ones. Some kids are more of a pain than others, and a chunk of it is how their parents manage them. Lots of them end up rewarding the behavior.

Ah, yes. With the ice cream and the balloons and the promises of toys from the souvenir shop.

Anything to make the kid shut up! but of course, the kids realize that screeching fits get them anything they want, so it just builds from there.
