The All-Purpose CR/Plotting Meme

And again things are moving, and will keep ever moving... good if we have a moment to chat on the way...

The meme is open to, as per always, making arrangements with and between:
- Current characters in game.
AND
- Potential characters - any characters you may have in mind up for app/re-app consideration, who there is a header for under the main post.

If you have an app in that has not been processed, please, don't be shy about commenting around for prospective CR and plans on entry - though, of course, remember that plans will be tentative!

On a relevant note, there is a new applicant guide now that might also be useful for oldbies.

For characters of either status, toss up a comment with your character's reincarnated name, pre-incarnated name, canon, and occupation in the subject line. E.x. "Cinderella | Rarity | My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic | Family Pet"

Character: Lazarus "L" Lawliet
Pre-Incarnation: L Lawliet of Death Note. He was a brilliant, obsessive detective with lacking social skills.
Location: A Locke City mainstay!
Occupation/Position: L is the proprietor of Espresso Yourself, moonlighting as a private eye. Recently, with the escalation of things in Locke City, he's taking on a bigger role in combating the Mafia, and he's in the process of fixing up a defunct school building, where he's moved Locke City's teleporter and has the beginnings of a pretty good intelligence center in the basement. He's continuing to investigate Albero and preparing for something big.

Lazarus "L" Lawliet is the reincarnation of Death Note's L. A homeschooled orphan raised by his exploitative uncle, he got a lot of early attention as a chess prodigy and for his high intelligence, which he applied toward accelerated coursework with the goal of becoming a police detective. Sadly, he suffered a nervous breakdown in his late teens, just one semester short of earning his master's degree in Criminal Justice, and he had to take a "rest" at a psychiatric hospital... which lasted almost three years. When he got out he tried to resume the life he'd wanted but got rejected from the police academy, and this started a downward spiral of untreated mental illness and substance abuse. On the edge of homelessness and struggling through writing the 17th draft of a derivative and ridiculous detective novel, he started getting echoes consistently, and was immediately humbled by the impressive nature of his preincarnate. The detective L was a wonder who inspired awe in the lackluster Lazarus, but the completer the picture becomes, the more Lazarus is starting to realize that his "heroic detective who saved children" has something of a darker side. Nevertheless, he's working to balance his own self-destructive nature with the good he knows he can do with L's skills and traits.

Pre-Network CR Opportunities: People who worked or stayed in White Pines psychiatric hospital between 2007 and 2009, and also... relatives! Relatives would be great, even distant-ass ones. Cousins, aunts, uncles, maternal grandparents, half-siblings, I would love to work with you on this.

Open/Wanted CR: Anything and everything is always wanted. Positive CR, negative CR, frenemies, nurturers, challengers, rivals, everything ever. L needs older role models and friends he can rely on, even if it means they have to sometimes override his judgment when he underestimates his limitations.

Haunts: L isn't around Espresso Yourself as much anymore; he's purchased a defunct school building and is working on fixing it up. He's moved the teleporter to this location, is putting together a pretty complete intelligence center in the basement, and has plans for the building to serve as a refuge for Numbered who want to take advantage of its beefed-up security.

Other Info: Lazarus is a good coordinator but relies on others to keep him from going overboard; most of his grand plans will fall apart without help. Unfortunately, so will he. Helping him with the school renovations are just the beginning; he'll need help investigating and muscle to ensure that there's some resistance if things go sour. There are practically unlimited CR opportunities here, and I'll post shortly offering roles in a plot where L heads retaliatory action against Albero!
