[THE WEATHER: Cold. Wet. Torrential rain, but no storms. THE PLACE: A tiny, hole-in-the-wall coffee shop, with warm drinks and dry air. Who's this buff, handsome, soaking wet and shivering young man in the corner?

Kevin Levin Hackett is a TV and movie star who grew up in the spotlight. A couple years ago Kevin made his transition from "awkward aging child star" to "worldwide sex symbol" when he got the lead role in the Twilight-expy film Morning Star.

More recently, he made the tabloids when he suddenly disappeared during the filming of its sequel. Rumors are flying everywhere, from drugs to kidnapping to aliens, but no one knows the truth: A scene from the film mirrored an event from his past life, triggering his first Echo and shaking him to his core. Confused and uneasy, Kevin managed to escape from under the thumb of his agent, producers and handlers who have controlled his whole life and get as far away as possible -- and here he is in Locke City.

[surprise! it's a big huge black and white striped umbrella that suddenly is hovering right over his head being held by a rather intimidating man in a casual suit. said man is smiling just a little in a way that just looks far too practiced to have that much warmth, not that anyone could see his eyes since the black tint to his sunglasses completely hides them from the rest of the world. he also has the aged face and rather silvery-white hair of someone well past their fifties.]

[Kevin knows all about practiced smiles, and he flashes one right back: A carefully calculated to be grateful as he scooted closer to the stranger, hands still wrapped around the warm coffee and pulling it close out of the rain. Not that Kevin didn't feel grateful; He was. But his whole life, on camera and in public, had been lived with a certain disconnect between his thoughts and expressions. Growing up like he did, it was hard to turn off the "acting" switch.]
