> The Park. Man, what a nice day out. Why not enjoy it? I'm sure -- shit, yep, there's some echo monsters or whatever they're called.
> The Mall. Exactly what it says on the tin! Dodge the hordes of teenage mallrats or take part, whichever suits your tastes.
> Rainy Day. Agh, it's fucking awful out. And is it raining those vermilion things?? Now you've got an Echo to contend with on top of everything else. Find some shelter, quick!
> Arts and Crafts Fair. WILL THE KITSCH OVERWHELM YOU


or make up your own whatever this is basic and just for the purposes of getting a new test drive up.

Not really. *She takes Hyun-ae's hand and gets up.* At least it doesn't feel like it. I regret to admit that I was not watching where I was going and perhaps had entirely too many things.

Well, I'm glad you're okay, at least! And really, don't worry about it. I get a little overenthusiastic in stores like this, too.

What are you making?

[Hyun-ae looks just a tad sheepish.] It's, um, a costume. What about you?

[stavros]

I simply wished to make my existing wardrobe more interesting. Or something like that.

*Read: less like normal clothes her family got her from the department store. She has bedazzled skulls onto this dress shirt, sob.*

[Aww, that's kind of adorable actually.]

Cool! I don't really have the guts to do anything too weird with my day-to-day wardrobe--I save it all for conventions and stuff.

[stavros]

You think so? *coughs* Ah -- I am pleased to find somebody who appreciates the labour and dedication!

I think it's good to be able to express yourself! And I definitely appreciate the time and effort it takes to go the do-it-yourself route.

[Glancing down, Hyun-ae notices that there's still an assortment of dropped items and things knocked off shelves on the floor.}

... We should probably clean that up, though, huh?

[stavros]

Of course! It's my responsibility.

*Picks up fabric bolts and VERY SERIOUS puts them back.*

[Hyun-ae picks up a few bolts of fabric as well and smooths them out a little before returning them to the shelf.]

You're taking this pretty seriously, huh?

[stavros]

It is a grave matter! The poor employees.

Aw, I'm sure this isn't the first or last time this has happened around here. They're probably used to it. -- uh, not to say we shouldn't clean up, though!

[stavros]

That is true. Even if it would be more convenient, I cannot do nothing. *Gathering everything up.*

Wow, you really are responsible. I wasn't nearly that thoughtful when I was your age. [Lo those many years ago, and by "many" we mean three or four.]

[stavros]

I only try my best.

*She finishes putting the toppled bolts back.*

I am certain that there is something important about you as well.

It's just a saying, is it not?

I guess! I've just never heard it worded quite that way before.
