IT'S SPRING
I almost literally can't believe it isn't snowing right now just to piss me off.

How it Works
Due to the nature of Save the Earth, it's a more complicated process to play in than most other games. With this in mind, it can't hurt to experiment a little.

Post your character and in the comment share a few details regarding their reincarnation. Repeat if you have multiple ideas you want to try out, as many as you like. It's also suggested that you set a scene and there's a few prompts below to help there, but think outside the box if you like. Then tag around to other threads and help your fellow prospective players to test out their characters and the variations on them. Don't be afraid to presume a little CR to make a scene flow more freely, or to assume an Echo or two. If you have an app, complete or in progress, you might want to link it.

Current players may also use these meme to test out specific future Echoes, or as a general meme. Certain scenarios may even be transferred to game canon if both parties agree and it does not conflict with in game events.

Abandoning all paranoia, everyone has turned up at a barbecue. It's the wildest party imaginable.

Apparently Locke City has one. I bet it's nice.

All that nature out there can be visited too.

Oh man, this is the worst location prompt ever. I apologise.

Prompt 2: Event
Suddenly, Rain
And here's you in just a white shirt and short shorts.
A Public Echo
One of those places up there triggers an inexplicable Echo. Are you going to have to grab a hat to hide those new horns? Maybe it's even your first.
A Date
I hear nice weather gets people in the mood for romance. I'm against it, personally.
Here on Business
Mysterious goings on have been detected in the area and it's your job to check them out. Some suggested shenanigans could include plants that try to eat people, a red herring new statue or maybe this thing popping out from behind a bush to play a saxophone in an irritating manner. Go nuts.
Getting Used to a New Echo
Maybe this one is a pain in the butt, either if because it's noticeable or hard to control. Or maybe you just like to practice.
Everything is Normal
Things aren't bizarre 24/7, you know.
Alien Invasion
The Martians* are attacking! They want our brains/world/women/hot dogs. Take these freaks out... or cower in terror.

*Martians are not actual Save the Earth villains.

[she's clearly shaken, and he feels instantly guilty for assuming the worst. Emmanuel holds up his hands in a pacifying gesture.]

It's all right. You're not...you're not hurt, are you? That was...

[it was me. I did it. And the memory that had come with the shattering glass had been even more unsettling.]

Why did you call me that...?

Fine. Glass can't - [hurt her when it's breaking] I'm fine.

[She takes a step back, still staring. If he does go for her, if she has a moment to manifest maybe she can make it.]

...it's written all over. I can't read all the letters, but it's in the shapes, the images. You... you suspect, don't you? Something you don't want to believe, it's blasphemy, but it makes sense and nothing else does, anymore-

[Yoshi knows she's babbling again, and makes herself stop. Is she talking about him? Or herself?]

[any other day he'd have started looking around for an aide, someone that must have been accompanying her to look after her, if she started spouting nonsense like this. But it's not nonsense, not anymore. Not after the things he's seen. And it shakes him.]

I was starting to believe there was nothing to have faith in. [the words are out before he can stop himself. He's never said this to anyone--] But this wasn't what I wanted--

[then he laughs a little, startling himself.] That's how it's supposed to be, isn't it? No one gets to choose how they're tested, otherwise it wouldn't be a test.

Of course not. [She sounds pure teenager for a moment.] And if it was easy just anyone could do it. There always has to be doubt, and strife, and drama.

[She squints through him at something only she can see.]

...You're not here to try and kill me?

[caosgo]

[he looks a little horrified.]

Of course not. Miss, are you...in danger? Is someone bothering you?

[She opens her mouth. Closes it.]

No. Not... not yet. If I ever stop and, and something for too long, I will be. You too.

[A shadow crosses her expression.]

You know it's dangerous to show too much to people without numbers, right?

[she is one of them. He relaxes, but only slightly. Then glances around, making sure no one else is within earshot. A fire truck wails by, headed for the store. Everyone's too busy trying to get a look at the chaos to bother with them.]

I know. [he swallows.] But I didn't do that on purpose. It just sort of...happened.

Yeah, that's - that's usually how it goes.

[She's trying to sound casual, but there's a nervous edge still, and she keeps glancing through him.]

...I'm um I'm Yoshiko. My friends...

[caosgo]

Yoshiko. [he nods.] You can call me Emmanuel. [it feels odd to offer his surname, so he omits it too.]

Did you get separated from them?

Oh - no, not um. Not really. I mean, no.

[She has no real friends since moving here. Shy girl, kind of weird, a little awkward...]

I meant, my friends call me uh... Yoshi.

[caosgo]

[he pauses. Is she asking him to call her that? Saying he's a friend? They've just met, and besides, he's old enough to be her father...but the numbers, they tie everyone together. And she looks a little frightened still, so as the adult he feels somewhat responsible.]

Yoshi...then. [he tries to smile, to reassure her.] I'm afraid I don't exactly have any nicknames.

[She's really not sure herself.]

...okay. [the tiniest of smiles.] Well, you're the messenger for the, the Thunderous Voice of Doom, so, maybe that's enough.

[caosgo]

That's a little long. Maybe an acronym would work?

Not that long. I'm - mine was, is, it called itself the messenger Stained in Crimson Scarlet, Clad in Night, Unforgiven. [There is a ritual feel to those words and they're said with a touch of defiance, though she shrinks back a little when she finishes.]

Whatever that means. I mean... yeah. Yeah, it kind of went on longer, but... it's already kind of a lot, so.

[caosgo]

How did you know I was also...that I had numbers. [he frowns in thought.] Is that--did you get any memories recently? Is that what you mean?

[did she remember him? Who he was? He only had fragments to go on--the voice, a man who looked very familiar, driving a car while he sat in the passenger's seat. They were talking about his brother, who was sick. And he'd said, in a normal voice, that he'd do everything he could to help. Pain, and the man and his brother holding him up, keeping him from falling over. A woman with dark hair and eyes that smiled at him slowly, only her face--it was horribly twisted, grotesque. But he wasn't afraid.]

Didn't I say-? It's in the letters, the shapes. That's new, I remember seeing them but I couldn't, but now... everyone has them. Especially you, but - everyone. Look.

[She squints into a well-dressed woman some distance away, back turned, getting into a car.]

She's a magician, she - no, maybe not. A... she comes up with things, no one around her has them. Ideas? And... she almost commands. But not yet. Is it a job thing? There's a star in her, it's bright.

And there's a man in that house, her man, he's an assass- no. No, he never killed anyone... I don't know, he knew it was wrong and he doesn't anymore but it's still part of him. He's taking care of a baby. It's- just a baby, not much there yet, all new and shining.

No one else with... numbers. Not that I can see. In one of the fire trucks a minute ago maybe - it was too quick.

[And wince.]

...I know it doesn't make a lot of sense. But I was right with you, mess- um... Emmanuel. So, maybe I didn't just go crazy?

[caosgo]

[Emmanuel tries to follow her, but...shakes his head.]

Whatever you're seeing...I can't. [he can't believe he's actually entertaining the idea that this isn't just crazy talk, but...] I'm sorry. But I believe you.

Oh. I was hoping... well, anyway.

-well, there were letters, back there, they said there might be a disaster if you stayed. I um I don't make a habit of just... running away with people. [She laughs nervously.]
