shabadoobie touch to [TEST DRIVE]

HERE WE GO AGAIIIIIN
Here's a few options, ganked from the last one and still as shamelessly stolen from even earlier versions.
> The Park. Man, what a nice day out. Why not enjoy it? I'm sure -- shit, yep, there's some echo monsters or whatever they're called.
> The Mall. Exactly what it says on the tin! Dodge the hordes of teenage mallrats or take part, whichever suits your tastes.
> Rainy Day. Agh, it's fucking awful out. And is it raining those vermilion things?? Now you've got an Echo to contend with on top of everything else. Find some shelter, quick!
> Arts and Crafts Fair. WILL THE KITSCH OVERWHELM YOU
> Or make up your own
Very nice! Test Strike! FABULOUS!
Robin | Teen Titans
[But here, he much rather prefers going by Tim. Because, that's kind of his name, and everything.
The easiest place to find him was in the science department of Locke City University, toiling away at one of the chemistry labs, where he was far too pre-occupied checking out whatever was under the microscope to pay attention to his surroundings.
On the plus side, it was one of the rare occasions where he wasn't wearing his usual sunglasses, in favor of donning the standard lab goggles. Safety first, kids.]
[2]
[It was far less easy to find him at the Arts and Crafts fair, and yet, that was indeed where he was, for the moment. Accompanying his mother, quality time with the family, all that good stuff.
He looked absolutely miserable.
This place was so boring. From the perspective of someone that wasn't even willing to look around, at least.
Save him.]

[Look, Tim, it's Professor Westerfeld, who is also at the fair and sporting a really tacky scarf and a hot dog in each hand.]
Good to see you outta the lab for once, man! You gotta go check out Old Lady Jenkins' stall while you're here, she's got some really nice stuff and could use the money.
no subject
Classy.]
I'm just here 'cause my mom made me come with her. [Said with a bit of a groan, but he quickly comes up to a smile thereafter.] Ms. Jenkins wouldn't happen to be where you got that scarf from, would it?
no subject
[He gives a small flourishing curtsy with a goofy grin, before obliterating half of one of the hot dogs...and talking with his mouth full.]
Uh yuh - juff a foo boofs dun thuh wuh.
[He motions as he attempts to speak.]
no subject
Sir, I have no idea what you're saying.
no subject
My bad - I said 'oh yeah, just a few booths down that way'.
[AND NOW BACK TO HOT DOG.]
no subject
Right... I'll be... sure to drop by.
[Mental note: don't drop by.]
Uh, sorry, but-- is there a reason you're eating so much? Did you miss breakfast?
no subject
[He shrugs, then makes short work of the second hot dog. At least this time he bothers to finish chewing before speaking.]
It feels like it totally missed me.
no subject
Shouldn't you... see a doctor or something, instead of hanging around an arts and crafts fair?
[As ridiculous as Mr. Westerfield was, he didn't want him to keel over.]
no subject
no subject
Are you sure it's OK to wait that long? I'm no doctor, but if something happened to your digestion or your metabolism...
[Basically that's bad news. He's a bit worried.]
no subject
Noticing the student alone in one of the labs, Dr. Francis Fell peers inside and clears his throat.]
Excuse me, have you seen Dr. Ratchet around by any chance? Why he would be in one of the chemistry labs is beyond me, but I didn't see him in his office or any of the other labs...
[And yes, he has no idea who he's talking to yet, perhaps because of the goggles, perhaps because he's looking down through the microscope and not facing him head-on. Boy is he in for a surprise.]
no subject
Oh, hey Professor Fell. [Yeah, he recognized the guy, now that he thought about it-- theology wasn't really his department, but he'd seem plenty after the accident happened. But still, Tim was pretty affable about the whole affair!]
Sorry, I haven't seen him around here. Not many people are in today.
[Yeah he was basically one of the only ones around the science labs right now. Nerd.]
no subject
O-oh, Tim, I didn't realize it was you. No, that's quite alright, fine really, not a problem... Err...
[He shuffles a little bit, looking around before glancing back at the student with a sheepish frown.]
How's your arm? Have you been recovering alright...?
no subject
I'm fine, really. [He said with a touch of a smile in the hopes of easing the man's worries.] I got my cast off a week ago. My wrist's kind of stiff, but it's not that big of a deal.
no subject
That's... good to hear. Sorry, I'm probably bothering you, aren't I? Would you like me to get out of your hair so you can continue with...
[He pauses, and narrows his eyes at the microscope that Tim had been looking through.] Err, whatever it was you were working on?
