Random scenario test drive meme! For all you thinking about apping to our fair game. Because all our characters are the modern reincarnates of the people we canon reviewed for, you need a modern AU! Post your character with a couple details about who they are now. Use a prompt to set the scene! And tag around.

RAIN: The weather sucks and you gotta share a bus stop, overhang, or other cozy space with someone.

MONSTERS IN THE PARK: Doesn't really matter what they are, it's time to run and/or fight!

NEW ECHO: augh you were minding your own business in public and now you have feathers for hair, or you just had a vivid flashback to being a wizard, or suddenly you have your preincarnation's clothes on. Someone help! Or point and laugh, that works too.

NORMAL DAY AT THE MALL OR WHEREVER: Slice of life happens too!

WILD CARD: You can't be contained by these paltry prompts! Get out there and combine them or make your own!

Oh Tula was a little wet now, although most of it was on her hands. "I'm no worse for the wear because of it." She brushed her hands on her pants. "I'm not made of carbohydrates after all."

She smiled, but it was a little weary - knowing that such brazen geek-talk usually lost her more friends than it gained. Not that it changed how she spoke at all.
chernobolt: (☆ then it's time for you to shine)

awww ty. i'm super wobbly with her atm though, i need to canon review something fierce.

"I should hope not! I think the only sort of sugar I am qualified to handle is the kind floating in interstellar clouds," she replied, laughing a little. Her own speech was considered odd by most people, although most of the time she didn't realize it, and so the joke merely delighted her.

It was a welcome distraction from her hair, at least, which she managed to beat back out of her face with no little effort. Now free to get a better view at who she was speaking with, Kara offered an even wider smile as she squeezed some of the excess dampness out of the edges.

"And it would be very lonely waiting at the autobus pause without someone to speak with. I do not believe mine will show up for some time."
noy_jitat: (handshake 01)

Voice sounds pretty dang good to me!

For her part, Tula was delighted as well and chuckled a little. Far be it from her to chastise someone for using synonyms that didn't quite make sense in classroom English; several of her own older relatives spoke like that.

"Which bus line is it? I'd love to hear more about interstellar sugar - my major's all groundwork. Literally!"
chernobolt: (☆ way up in the air you're finally free)

thanks! that's encouraging to hear. c:

"The 98 - it is usually the bus that waits for six others to show up first before deciding to arrive itself." It's the sort of thing that would have been infinitely more annoying if she wasn't so used to it back home; Ukraine had come a long way in recent years, but there was still large swathes of its infrastructure that in all truth should have been retired long ago.

For once it appeared to be a blessing, as it seemed that she had a wonderful conversation partner to chat with. No matter the circumstances, Kara was always thrilled to be presented with the opportunity to make a new friend.

"But I do not mind very much, even if today I am damp; there is very much to speak about, and I would also like to hear about your own work! I am usually looking up, so I do not inspect the ground very often. It is a wonder I have not run into anything yet."
noy_jitat: (lady on deck)

Is it the weekend yet orz

Tula had to chuckle. "Abuelito always told me to walk where I'm watching, so that makes sense to me." She patted the seat next to her. "I'm studying Biology with a focus on plantlife and biomes, less so on the infinite universe of the human body or the stars." She gestured to the redhead. "But stars must have systems, right? One star doesn't just exist all on its own inside of a solar system or galaxy." That was about the extent of her Astronomy 101.

"Tula, by the way." She reached over and extended an offer for a firm handshake.
chernobolt: (☆ brighter than a shooting star)

i wish, sob

"You may call me Kara! It is nice to meet you," she replied, enthusiastically shaking Tula's hand several times before she even attempted to take a seat. There was a certain note of pride in Kara's voice at managing to introduce herself without involving her actual name; it always seemed to cause a sort of mild distress in people despite the immediate addition of an alternative, so forgoing that experience entirely was heartening.

Once she'd navigated through introductions she sat down, leaning forward eagerly after carefully setting her books aside.

"That is fascinating! I only know so much about plants as one would need to work on a farm; it would be easier for me to talk about tractors than biomes." Kara laughed, a bit ruefully, before continuing to talk with cheerful energy. "You are right about the connected stars, though! There is very little in the universe that is not tangled up with everything else - I think that the word is interdependent?"
