Random scenario test drive meme! For all you thinking about apping to our fair game. Because all our characters are the modern reincarnates of the people we canon reviewed for, you need a modern AU! Post your character with a couple details about who they are now. Use a prompt to set the scene! And tag around.
RAIN: The weather sucks and you gotta share a bus stop, overhang, or other cozy space with someone.
MONSTERS IN THE PARK: Doesn't really matter what they are, it's time to run and/or fight!
NEW ECHO: augh you were minding your own business in public and now you have feathers for hair, or you just had a vivid flashback to being a wizard, or suddenly you have your preincarnation's clothes on. Someone help! Or point and laugh, that works too.
NORMAL DAY AT THE MALL OR WHEREVER: Slice of life happens too!
WILD CARD: You can't be contained by these paltry prompts! Get out there and combine them or make your own!
I think we all saw that ending coming though.
Yeah, but you always pay extra just because of the brand.
[He just kind of leans forward a bit to look at it.]
An import from where? Japan? Doesn't look like anything you'd see in any store.
I was on the fence about it for a little while actually.
[She flips through a few screens. Messaging, storage, media, whatever this tablet was it would be awfully expensive if it did sell in stores. And that wasn't even taking the collapsible transparent screen into account.]
I think so. A friend in the industry gave it to me to try out.
[Pretty lousy answer but it beats the alternative.]
Looks like you got your wish
[He observes the tablet for a moment. Yeah, no. He really doesn't buy the excuse. He will shrug to it however.]
If you say so.
I did indeed
They must be doing something right. Didn't they make over a hundred and fifty billion dollars last year?
Hopefully that'll help with your app!
[And watch as he just does his on satirical exaggeration of one of those apple commercials. Including over the top dancing, but minus the black silhouette.
And when he finishes it's just back to standing under the awning like that didn't just happen.]
In a couple of months they try and sell you the next brand with maybe a small new feature. Rinse, wash, repeat. And people go crazy for it because they just want to be ahead of the trend or somethin'.
Pretty much the last bit I was waiting for. Just something to put in the background section.
[And, okay, a sudden dance routine. She watches from the corner of her eye with a raised eyebrow. At least it's an amusing wait for the rain to clear up.]
To be fair, they did set the trend in the first place.

Which makes it allllll the worse.
[He side eyes her for a moment before he offers a hand out to her.]
Didn't catch your name, but, name's Caleb.

She lowers the tablet when he offers his hand, reaching out to accept the handshake.]
Blake.
