Random scenario test drive meme! For all you thinking about apping to our fair game. Because all our characters are the modern reincarnates of the people we canon reviewed for, you need a modern AU! Post your character with a couple details about who they are now. Use a prompt to set the scene! And tag around.
RAIN: The weather sucks and you gotta share a bus stop, overhang, or other cozy space with someone.
MONSTERS IN THE PARK: Doesn't really matter what they are, it's time to run and/or fight!
NEW ECHO: augh you were minding your own business in public and now you have feathers for hair, or you just had a vivid flashback to being a wizard, or suddenly you have your preincarnation's clothes on. Someone help! Or point and laugh, that works too.
NORMAL DAY AT THE MALL OR WHEREVER: Slice of life happens too!
WILD CARD: You can't be contained by these paltry prompts! Get out there and combine them or make your own!

...Between those freckles on his skin and that shitty mom-cut-my-hair haircut Jamie feels some terribly strong connection between him and this other unnamed boy. However, he is always painful crushingly shy of speaking to anyone out of the comfort zone, you could say he needs more confidence.] Umm... ahhhh I, um..
[Look at that great big horse-face of his, how could they not connect with one another just by those blatant features.]

But whatever. He's just going to stare, eyebrows slowly making their way to his hairline. He can feel the awkwardness radiating off of the other boy, and it's almost enough to make him feel embarrassed for him. Almost, but he was raised to be mildly respectful, so even if he'd rather about face and leave him behind...He won't.
(Also, he feels like he has to talk to this kid, like...he's someone important to him or connected to him in some way. It's not a feeling he's particularly okay with, but he can't deny it.]
...Hi.
[What is he supposed to do. Or say.]
Do I...know you?
no subject
If he didn't know this kid though school than Jamie's pretty sure this is one of those echo things.. yeah. It has to be something like that, what's the name coming to mind? Maybe.. Coco or-- no, that's not a boys name.. (or at least, not a real boys name. Don't watch an anime called Boku.)]

Oh. Do we have any classes together?
[Why are you staring at the floor gdi you're just making this encounter more awkward than it needs to be.]
I'm Marzio, by the way. In case you didn't know.
[Is this how you make friends with people who aren't your neighbors. Will his mother be proud of him.]
no subject
[Marzio..? No, he doesn't know that name.] We might.. hey, ah- do you know what the network is? [Jamie's talking about the super secret members only club, he can't help himself however this really does feel like one of those echo things.
-And yeah, congrats this conversation only gets more and more awkward. His sweaty palms are going to ruin his new manga.]
no subject
[Christ.] Do you mean the like...Bunch of numbers thing? [He's a wordsmith, truly, but he does know what Jamie means.
Sort of. Vaguely.
He has an idea, anyways.
It would probably be less awkward if it didn't feel like he knew this kid and like he was about to trip face first into an echo. It was kind of awful all around.]
no subject
[Finally facing the person he's making conversation with, a-m-a-z-i-n-g.] We must have known each other in our past lives.. when I, or my reincarnation-- whatever, was in the military!
no subject
The- the military? You mean, the 1-4th? [Those numbers have to have some significance, and it's not that string for the network or anything.] I don't think I, or he, or whatever, actually served. [He's pretty sure he didn't do anything amazing with his life. Oops.
But hey, at least Jamie is getting a smile now and not the "oh god what a weirdo get away from me" look.]

Oh no. Jamie, we don't talk about Avon.] She does, yeah. [And it's super embarrassing to watch her try to sell to people sometimes.] Oh, God. Doesn't your mom sell that shit too?
no subject
Is she a really loud Italian lady..?
no subject
Loud is subjective. [Which is about as good as a yes as you'll get.]
no subject
Oh.. [Awkward as ever, switching his manga between sweat palms knowing it had to be getting warped in someway by now.]
So, ah, I guess that's what we have in common or something..
