This one's pretty simple! Just post your characters and the things they're getting for their CR for Christmas. Then plot reactions/shenanigans/generally flail at each other! :D

Lazarus is more used to celebrating Hanukkah, but he's going to give his therapist Belle Goldman and his NPC mail carrier both pieces of short fiction starring them.

Both pieces are about a detective solving miniature, everyday cases, in a way that Lazarus clearly thinks is heartwarming in accordance to the Christmas spirit. Unfortunately, his mail carrier's is about a perp who nails people's pet dogs to the mayor's door as an act of political protest, and Belle's is about a little girl who cuts her eyes out with scissors and helps the detective solve his case by hearing the voices of angels (he is careful to add a note that she is actually schizophrenic but was molested by the criminal, and angels do not exist.)

Bakura's not getting people Xmas presents. He will, however, bring home souvenirs from Japan while he's there for New Years. He's making sure he's writing himself a list and giving it to his Grandma to remind him of so he'll actually get them.


Anthony Janvier - A charm for good health. (which he'll be all "OMFG I can't give him that" when he gets back and remembers) and some candies.

Marisa Kirisame - The tackiest horse cell phone charm he can find. (year of the horse and all) Also an assortment of weird flavored kit kats. Plus a good luck charm for the year

Mr. Lyall - A very nice (and expensive) tea set. His grandparents picked it out. Also, a tacky Year of there Horse tie to give it the Bakura touch and a good luck charm.

Toushirou: An angry snowman cell phone charm that looks like it's of a video game character and a good luck charm

Hajime Aikawa: A figure set of MegaMonster World 2. Plus a cell phone charm of one of the ones that was on Hajime's team when Bakura saw him play and a good luck charm

Chris: A programmable mini robot (someone's next gen version Roomba that you can get to do more chores than just clean) and a good luck charm

Banagher: A good luck in school/exams charm

Winter: A blue themed magical girl keychain charm and a good luck charm

Thomas: THE MOST MOE CELL PHONE CHARM HE CAN FIND. (and also a good luck charm)

Kotetsu: A good luck with exams charm [aka, a DON'T FAIL charm]



He's also getting a bunch of generic good luck charms because he gets the nagging feeling that he's forgetting to get people stuff and they need 'em.

Julien has some money saved up. Usually he's wary of spending too much - he has a lot of friends - but he's got a feeling of approaching doom, and some time on his hands, plus he knows a lot of people and can usually buy or trade for non-illegal things he wants. So!

He's clipped tiny purple roses from his potted rosebush, trimmed the thorns, and affixed one to each package, which is likely to be colored tissue paper. Each also comes with a handwritten card that has a bit of lighthearted poetry in it, not necessarily his own. Mostly people get generic gifts - semifancy soap bars (sea-salt!) or body wash, patterned socks or gloves, lotion. Useful things. He'd know more about that than me.

Banagher gets a unicorn sticker and that phone-photo Jules took of them, printed out and in a simple frame. Also earmuffs that to human eyes are pretty close to Haro's color.

Colette gets a colorful dreamcatcher with pigeon feathers and one of those ear-covering winter headbands. This one's in pale blue with snowflakes on it. Also a second unicorn sticker, because when he got the one for Banagher it was in a two-pack.

Lyall gets a resin apple keychain and a sheep hat like this but not sparkly. Your basic white hat with cute ears. He may notice that Julien's scent on this is no longer human at all.

Luci gets a red Beanie-baby style bear with clothing made of tissue paper.

Axalex gets an old department store dummy, repainted orange, with a bullseye T-shirt reading TARGET PRACTICE. It's legless and on a stand but still kind of a hassle to move around.

Suzaku gets an assortment of tea mixes bought from Colette, and some catnip toys.

Kilian... Jules found a jeweler who was getting rid of some stuff and moving out of the city, so he get a box of the little metal loops that hold stones for rings and so on, lengths of coiled wire, a handsaw.

Ravi gets a sort of utility apron thing, lots of pockets, soberly colored.

Emmanuel gets a coupon to a halfway decent restaurant with a note like "We should eat together". His poem is an original about loneliness and sheltering from the storm.

Alex gets a a big plush giant squid with some little rings on it, so it can be mounted on a wall or hung from a ceiling. it's regifted Also, the rest of the catnip toys.

Aaron gets a white tree-and-stars patch made, the kind you iron on. It's simpler than the Gondor tree. Jules also took measurements on the hilt bit of Narsil, since it's usually been in the lost and found, and has a "scabbard" (it's more of a stiffened tough bag with a lot of layers inside and a drawstring) on a belt. It's less convenient than a real scabbard - the drawstring pulls tight over the crossguard, so just the handle shows, and it takes a moment to loosen that and get it out - but the whole thing would be hidden pretty well by his coat and well, if Aaron's gonna keep using that thing...

Also I want to say he just corners Aaron and bullies him into agreeing to have dinner together. "Maybe I just don't want to be alone or on Skype on Christmas Eve. And maybe I don't want you doing that either."

For a singular day after returning to the apartment, Alex's room was a whirlwind of Christmas wrapping activity. All of these presents were purchased a month ago, but he usually puts off wrapping until the week before Christmas.

Anthony: an apron with his name on it, a pocket knife, and a wood whittling kit.
John: a matching apron with his name on it and a $50 donation to Open Arms.
Ravindra: a t-shirt and a cat coffee mug (probably a grumpy cat mug or a 'best cat dad' mug).
Reilanin: a set of three goat's milk soap bars from the farm (plain, peppermint, lavender), a canister of tea, and a bracelet with blue accents made by Killian.
Banagher: an inflatable unicorn head and a t-shirt.
Vanessa: more bottle necklaces, a thick hoodie, and a foot of .999 silver wire he bought for werewolf purposes... (Maybe she'll have a use for it one day, he thinks.)

They all came with a card; may type out the contents laters.

Asuka is a terrible and inconsiderate humbug so she's not getting anyone anything.

Should someone surprise her with a gift she will honestly panic and scramble to do something nice to them back, though, so if you want to make her day worse, feel free to give her something.

Michelle mostly just has one-or-two-conversation acquaintances on the network at the moment (and come to think, would she even know where any of them live?) so the bulk of her gifting went to NPC family and friends.

Her numbered coworkers Wheatley and Cain each get a card and since Whit got to the "starbucks gift card" idea first some homemade (slightly burnt) cookies.
She also drew Wheatley for office secret santa, and he's getting a stapler because she's a little bit of a smartass. But hey, it's actually a pretty nice stapler.

Reimu doesn't celebrate Christmas normally, but her Aunt and her relatives do, so she's been badgered into at least sending Christmas cards (that have been signed) to everyone she has interacted with more than once on the network (at least if she can figure out where they live anyway).

A couple of people might have also gotten Japanese Christmas Cakes her Aunt baked, though I'm not entirely sure who would've gotten those (other than Marisa anyway. There might be someone else XD;). Times like these make me feel bad for how horrible I am at getting CR.

Reimu herself, meanwhile, is getting another video game from her Grandma, who might also be visiting for New Years actually, and yet another card from her dad, except this one is actually signed, and has an awkwardly worded message that includes some empty sounding inquiries about how she's doing in America and a rather ill-advised question about how her finals at Locke High went. This is going straight into the trash, after the money is taken out of it.

Naomi's keeping her list short.

The Fentons (AKA Danny's family) get a storebought cake brought over for dinner or something. Also the magical company of Naomi and her daughter.

Karl Aurion/Richard Locke gets...another (smaller) cake, as an in-joke. Also a gift card to the bookstore where they met! He'll get these at the dinner.

Randall Lyall gets a plush red blood cell to brighten up his classroom if he wants (optional!). This is delivered via Danny because it's less hassle than arranging meetings and whatnot and Danny-mun gave her okay.

John Mitchell got a gift card for a coffee shop, a book of baking recipes, and a dozen little doll chairs

Lyall got a stuffed squirrel (he'd get that dog joke eventually) and a gift card for bookstore

Monroe got a stuffed squirrel, a pretty snowglobe, and a Pilates machine

Ravi got a travel mug and a couple of cat toys

Yuji got a purple silk scarf, leather gloves, and an ex-banning from his favorite karaoke bar (you're welcome, that took some serious sweet-talking)

Barnaby got an amazon gift card

Ray got a talking Bender action figure and case of beer

Anthony got a yearlong Netflix subscription

Angela got a stuffed squirrel, a Leprechaun team beer mug, and a couple of growlers of beer

SHIRO gets a pair of really solid leather gloves. Good shit. Useful. It's freezing cold and having a bike as your primary mode of transport sucks.

CHRIS gets a thermos, but it's a really high-end thermos that'll keep hot shit hot for like twelve hours and cold shit cold for twenty-four.

REGINA gets a leather jacket that's basically light armor. Motorcycle jackets are tough.

KOTETSU gets free coffee even if he's out of uniform.


AARON oh god this is the tough one

EVERYONE AT THE CLINIC gets a bonus, because they are actually doing really well rn, and they also get athelas seedlings -- Aaron took cuttings from the plants six months ago and has been cultivating them, and they have roots now and can be kept as potted plants. They make whatever room they're in smell really great, and everyone who works there knows how to use them medicinally.

ELIAN gets a very discreet bag of weed. It's good shit.

CHRIS gets athelas leaves in tea bags. After what happened in the clinic, she could use the mental clarity/antidepressant effects.

EMMANUEL gets a bottle of wine. Good wine.

KILLIAN gets a bag of athelas leaves, with instructions to put a few in hot water.

Everyone Phillip knows from the network is getting homemade ornaments- basically those clear ones you buy but with paint and glitter on them. Since he's not allowed to say why he knows a lot of you he couldn't buy you things. :(

Axel gets an ornament, plus a handmade card that Philli is also giving to everyone else in the play. But Axel's has more drawing in it.

Toushirou gets a very practical pair of gloves and a book about soccer that Phillip thinks is really boring but thought he'd probably like. He's really hard to buy for.

Luke gets a thing of hot chocolate, a soccer ball so he can learn to play, and a promise to let him come over and pet Gloria if he ever needs it.

Anyone Luke's had significant CR with is gonna be getting a bird themed hand made Christmas ornament. Who gets what bird is listed below. Anyone that Luke's met in person or who his Grampa has seen/heard of is also going to be getting home made gingerbread cookies and apple cider. Possibly given out during a tree decorating party hosted at his house? Idk that's a possibility.

Toushirou's looks like an owl, complete with little pointed ear tuft feathers.
Phillip is getting a blue jay.
Gavin is getting a cardinal.
Jamie is getting a bald eagle.
Asuka is getting a chicken.
(At this point Luke kind of runs out of birds he knows how to make easily and starts improvising.)
Anthony is getting a purple and green one that is probably supposed to be a peacock.
Suzaku's was originally a goose, but Luke decided that all the grey and black looked boring and added green feathers too.

Cinderella's current situation renders her able indeed to see about getting gifts together and prepared for passing-on, and while all she's got to her name or pieces of geode crystal from a certain fateful Echo, the Bells were willing to oblige based on her advisory picking up a few baubles that might suit the tastes of the mysterious friends of their horse's that they've never met.

However she ensures that the gifts get to their recipients - she will either properly post to the network tomorrow or issue a hand-or-hoof-waved invitation inviting them to drop by, pick them up, and meet her family - they'll come in just-big-enough white boxes labeled with a suitable name under "To:" and "Cinderella Bell" under "From:" containing a unique piece and a manageably-sized, neatly-shaped bit of crystal (p'raps fashionable into jewelry or Christmas ornaments for years to come) as follows:

Arthur gets a green crystal and something along the lines of a mantle ornament, seahorse-shaped and made of dark blue glass.

Miria receives a pink crystal and a necklace, silver chain with three thinner tansparent crystals hanging from it as pendants about an inch-spaced; Isaac gets a yellow crystal and a pin or brooch of some kind, rounded, brass, simple but surely versatile.

Alexander gets yellow as well as a little ornament very-well-painted and shaped like an apple. She will fondly remember those apple sweets.

Aria gets a small crystal of each color the geode contained - red, yellow, green, blue, purple, and pink!

Banagher gets a blue crystal and silver shield-shaped pin with a horse on it. A hornless one, mind.

Chloe receives a purple crystal and a similar pin - this one oval-shaped, and a horse with a horn emblazoning it.

Audrey also receives pink, and a pin shaped like tiny crown with an even tinier dark red stone at the middle.

Aaron receives green and a flat silver pin with a sword carved into it.

Travis gets green as well and a pin shaped like a luna moth. Clearly he's no issue with bugs, and the moth matches the crystal better than something spider-like would've to her knowledge!

Another green for Russel with a pale green handkerchief with a cat stitched into one of the corners.

Asuka receives red with an set of mostly warm-colored hair ribbons.

Thomas, meanwhile, gets red and a somewhat modern-looking take on a soldier nutcracker.

Anthony meanwhile has got very limited resources both monetary and otherwise and therefore cannot actively go and get much all ready - he is making use of what he can do and whipping things up both cooked and written.

Those he sees or trusts he can see in the near enough future - namely John, Nick, and vampire Alex get his promise that they can name a dish or baked good or multiple thereof of their choice however ambitious and he shall see to it that they have them as a result of his making.

Others he deems it adequately safe to be cooking for are Bakura, who'll be receiving green-tea sable-sorts-of-things, hopefully enough to share back with his household (the green-tea-flavored bent thought of natch by association!); Hajime, who'll be getting the same (what with a leaning away from the overtly sweet); Ax-Alex, receiving a portion of a batch of chocolate cupcakes, cream-cheese-frosted; Brooke, for whom there's another portion of the same; Octavia, for whom another portion has been frosted blue; and Xander, who receives meringues, half also-with-chocolate and half coffee.
