The Train to STE Meme (SPOILERS for canon deaths)

You know those Train to the Afterlife memes? In STE the canon versions of all our characters are dead. What if there was a train bearing their spirits on to reincarnation here?

This is a meme where canon versions of the characters can interact. They all know they're dead. They may or may not remember just how they died, or how they got to be on this particular train. Doesn't matter if they'll be born decades apart - that just means some people disembark a little earlier than others. Go over brochures about what your new incarnation will be like, spontaneously turn or be human, try the snack cart, fail to convince the friendly but very busy conductor to give you a transfer, or simply chat.

You just can't stop the train, or leave it. Not yet.

Glorfindel has died once before, and never really intended to do it again, but sometimes things just don't work out how you plan. This is not the Halls of Mandos, though; he knows those halls well after his first death. So he was keen to explore, first, to wander up and down the strange moving, seated hall ways, and he can be caught glancing curiously at the other passengers.

Later, though, he can be found with a brochure, frowning as he reads through it, trying to make sense of the world and the man explained in it. So much makes no sense to him. Eventually, he'll look up and speak aloud to the carriage in general: "Does anyone know what a 'print shoot' is?"

Glorfindel hadn't been paying attention to his neighbour, but now he is, and his lips curve into a smile. "You look like you've been dragged through a hedge backwards." He'd offer a comb if he had one, but unfortunately not.

"Have you heard of a print shoot before?"

"Ah, well, I suppose when you've had them all your life you stop noticing so much." Glorfindel replies. He's surprised, not really sure what to make of Yuuya. What was he that he hasn't had hair or hands before?

But he passes him his pamphlet easily, open on the page explaining his future self's modelling career. "If I had my comb I could untangle your hair for you." He'd offer to hand comb it if he hadn't just met Yuuya.

The look amuses Gabriel. Why wouldn't he had the pamphlet over? He's already read it - what he can understand of it - and from what he can understand his next life seems as though it'll be even more public property than his last one. "What were you in your last life?" He asks, the words strange in his mouth. He's used the terms of reincarnation and rebirth before, but for the same soul rehoused, rather than for rebirth as in a new body and life all together.

"I'm sorry, it's not something I've encountered before. What's a photograph?" He frowns, lips pursing as he tries to put it into context. "Something similar to a painting or a sculpture? More similar to a painting, if there are copies, I suppose."

"You were a dove but a man as well?" Glorfindel asks, tilting his head. He doesn't understand that. It's easy enough for him to accept that a dove would be sentient, though, although he's never met one before. After all, all birds are Manwë's servants, and while he favours eagles there's no reason for him not to have blessed doves as well. Does he mean that he looked fine as a bird? 'Man' to Glorfindel mainly means 'human' though.

"Human technology and interference, then." Glorfindel laughs. There's a touch of fondness in his voice, but also concern. This world that he's to be reborn into is very different to his home. But then, it must be the same for Yuuya as well. "I suppose if I'm to be born into it I'll understand then. It seems a strange way to make a living, though."
