The Train to STE Meme (SPOILERS for canon deaths)

You know those Train to the Afterlife memes? In STE the canon versions of all our characters are dead. What if there was a train bearing their spirits on to reincarnation here?
This is a meme where canon versions of the characters can interact. They all know they're dead. They may or may not remember just how they died, or how they got to be on this particular train. Doesn't matter if they'll be born decades apart - that just means some people disembark a little earlier than others. Go over brochures about what your new incarnation will be like, spontaneously turn or be human, try the snack cart, fail to convince the friendly but very busy conductor to give you a transfer, or simply chat.
You just can't stop the train, or leave it. Not yet.

Later, though, he can be found with a brochure, frowning as he reads through it, trying to make sense of the world and the man explained in it. So much makes no sense to him. Eventually, he'll look up and speak aloud to the carriage in general: "Does anyone know what a 'print shoot' is?"

The honestly somewhat childish creature he's to become is soft, feels ludicrously tall even though he can tell it's not, is heavy and half blind, must take shallow breaths with inefficient lungs, and has a subcutaneous fat layer that moves strangely. Yuuya's most taken by the hands - it's like having soft toes on his wingtips! - and hair.
This is the first time he's had hair and it's not really what he expected. It's so... not at all streamlined. And coarse and striated-feeling, and he's really rumpled it up by now but is not sure how to make it neater. Humans have weird grooming-rituals to use on their heads, but he hadn't ever paid much attention.
"Hmm?" he asks, tilting his head at his reflection in the window and trying to flatten the hair manually.

"Have you heard of a print shoot before?"

"How do you people stand having hair? It's ridiculous." He pats it, then clumsily rakes at it, getting caught for a moment in a tangle. "And hands. How do you get anything done, they're too sensitive." Unaware that it doesn't look at all the same as a bird preening a feather, Yuuya makes several minor bites along a finger, from the base to the tip.
Print shoot. "Ummm... well, what's the context? I've heard the term before."

But he passes him his pamphlet easily, open on the page explaining his future self's modelling career. "If I had my comb I could untangle your hair for you." He'd offer to hand comb it if he hadn't just met Yuuya.

wait did this stranger just give him his pamphlet? There's a flash of sharp avid interest, Yuuya is not experienced enough with this face to hide much. How very trusting! -not that it would matter much here. Still, when he takes it he makes sure not to pull it close, holding it loosely before him.
"Well. Thank you!" Not quite the same context. In Yuuya's time modelling certainly did still exist, but humans rarely participated. "Ah, I believe it means being photographed and given copies in lieu of payment. Having been taken, the photographs can then be used to prove that one is a good model. Or something like that."
no subject
"I'm sorry, it's not something I've encountered before. What's a photograph?" He frowns, lips pursing as he tries to put it into context. "Something similar to a painting or a sculpture? More similar to a painting, if there are copies, I suppose."
no subject
"Sort of like a painting! An almost-exact image made in an instant, and exact copies can be made as quickly. Honestly they're more convincing to humans." Yuuya angles his head some more but looks at Glorfindel in the window's reflection.

"Human technology and interference, then." Glorfindel laughs. There's a touch of fondness in his voice, but also concern. This world that he's to be reborn into is very different to his home. But then, it must be the same for Yuuya as well. "I suppose if I'm to be born into it I'll understand then. It seems a strange way to make a living, though."

Laying his hand against the side of his face- "Oh, that feels good - ahem. Yes, modelling is quite a particular job. Why, what did you do before?"
