The Train to STE Meme (SPOILERS for canon deaths)


You know those Train to the Afterlife memes? In STE the canon versions of all our characters are dead. What if there was a train bearing their spirits on to reincarnation here?

This is a meme where canon versions of the characters can interact. They all know they're dead. They may or may not remember just how they died, or how they got to be on this particular train. Doesn't matter if they'll be born decades apart - that just means some people disembark a little earlier than others. Go over brochures about what your new incarnation will be like, spontaneously turn or be human, try the snack cart, fail to convince the friendly but very busy conductor to give you a transfer, or simply chat.

You just can't stop the train, or leave it. Not yet.

[Jin's been around the block a few times, so he's seen aliens and other weird shit before. However, this guy's more than he bargained for.]

Woah, can I ask if you're a robot or an alien? Or is that rude. Well, I'm dead so I don't exactly care. So, are you?

[ A few decades (give or take) ago, he might've been really offended by the "robot" question. But now, it's really not that big of a deal. ]

I'm an organic. And a turian. Which, I guess with all the humans around here, would make me the "alien" in this equation.

Oh, okay. I figured as much, didn't mean to offend you with the whole alien thing. I guess we're all aliens to somebody. You're standing there all, man humans and their floppy mouths and shit, ew.

[He tries to be flippant but he's really interested.]

So most of that stuff is armor and whatnot, huh. Lotta hardware. I only asked the robot question cos I'm a robotics engineering genius. So if you were a robot you were one that was way advanced compared to what I know, and I'd have to ask you about yourself.

Hell, I can still ask you about yourself as a turian. We got all the time in the world, here, what's your story?

Don't worry, I'm not offended. Some of my best friends were humans, you know. And, one of my closest friends was big into synthetics herself. [ Not to mention the robots he'd been friends with. ] But, my focus was more on combat engineering, calibrating guns, that sort of stuff.

[ It was really strange though, having humans make such a fuss over him. He'd been too young to remember the Relay 314 incident, but he was pretty sure that it didn't go quite like this. ]

Oh, you know the usual. Hunting down rogue agents, surviving suicide missions, saving the galaxy. With a little help from my friends, of course.
