The Train to STE Meme (SPOILERS for canon deaths)


You know those Train to the Afterlife memes? In STE the canon versions of all our characters are dead. What if there was a train bearing their spirits on to reincarnation here?

This is a meme where canon versions of the characters can interact. They all know they're dead. They may or may not remember just how they died, or how they got to be on this particular train. Doesn't matter if they'll be born decades apart - that just means some people disembark a little earlier than others. Go over brochures about what your new incarnation will be like, spontaneously turn or be human, try the snack cart, fail to convince the friendly but very busy conductor to give you a transfer, or simply chat.

You just can't stop the train, or leave it. Not yet.

[He gives the obviously excited young man a sidelong glance, and briefly considers smacking him with a bit of telekinetic force, too. But no. He was keeping his distance. He was only being strange. He could let strange pass, for the moment. But he did comment, as he looked away.]

The humans have a saying. "Take a picture. It'll last longer."

[That's the voice of an extremely irate bird-thing, that is.]

"Aaa---" Bakura ducked his head, looking utterly embarrassed at being caught. "Sorry--- Didn't mean to be rude, I just haven't seen anyone that looks like you before that wasn't just a hologram...." he trailed off, rubbing the back of his neck.

[Humans. So irritating! His right hand rose, the talons curling and uncurling, but he again stopped himself. Violence would be wasted on something so weak.]

You won't be seeing anything like it again, if these are right. [He gestures vaguely to the smouldering pamphlets.] Not for a long time.

Eh? [[blinking at the... hello did that person burn his information?

To most people, that would be a warning sign.

...Then again, most people would have had sense enough not to engage the clearly pissed off 7 foot monster in the first place]]

You mean you're going to be reborn as something else?

[Neither of them are anywhere approaching "most people", it seems.]

A human. A cringing, powerless man with money and very little else.

[The disgust in his tone might explain why the pamphlets are all scattered about and ruined.]

Which, due to how rapidly his power is diminishing, feels more like a light thwap.]
