The Train to STE Meme (SPOILERS for canon deaths)

You know those Train to the Afterlife memes? In STE the canon versions of all our characters are dead. What if there was a train bearing their spirits on to reincarnation here?

This is a meme where canon versions of the characters can interact. They all know they're dead. They may or may not remember just how they died, or how they got to be on this particular train. Doesn't matter if they'll be born decades apart - that just means some people disembark a little earlier than others. Go over brochures about what your new incarnation will be like, spontaneously turn or be human, try the snack cart, fail to convince the friendly but very busy conductor to give you a transfer, or simply chat.

You just can't stop the train, or leave it. Not yet.

Yuri blinked a few times, and reached up to push her glasses up her nose.

Why did a soul in transit have glasses, anyhow? That was kind of silly. So was the concept of being shuttled along towards a new life on a train, actually. But then, so were Precure, so she supposed it all sort of evened out. Everything was sort of silly when you looked at it.

Yuri gave her a thoughtful look, and smiled a bit sadly.

"It's... yes, I'd say it's okay."

Lily's mother would be a hurdle, but... So long as she could make it past that...

"Perhaps much better than okay."

"It's strange." Caren sighed. "I don't know what to think about mine. I'll have to learn the same things over again, but there will be people there to protect."

"That's sort of the thing," Yuri mused, smiling a bit. "There are always people to protect. There always will be. This life or the next, protecting the hearts of those dear to you, and even those who just can't do it themselves... That will always be important. I... think she'll realize this. I hope, anyway."

"The next you, you mean?" Caren asked. "It's weird. This isn't how souls work for someone like me."

Yuri frowned a bit.

"I get the distinct impression that our impressions of how such tings work don't matter very much to whomever's behind this. Still... at least there are constants. If my soul can continue to help others..."

Her lips quirked back up.

"I think that's enough."

She nods. "You're sounding familiar. Let's hope that whatever this alien thing is, we all work out well. I've seen harder things turn out."

"Provided they aren't capable of turning the entire world into a desert, or transforming into a planet sized monster... Well, with enough guidance I'd rather hope this 'Lily' should have enough of what it takes."

Could she really guide her, though? That was a good question.

"A desert I haven't seen, but I did see someone cover the world in giant double helix pillars and weird flying hybrid animals. He also had a thing for eating his subordinates."

It was conversational.

Yuri quirked an eyebrow, though she couldn't well find it that strange.

"Well, at the very least, if they get a glimpse of what we could handle... They should be prepared for quite a bit."

Pause. "You too, huh."

Yuri blinked a bit.

"'Me too?'"

"The stuff you've had to deal with."
