The Train to STE Meme (SPOILERS for canon deaths)

You know those Train to the Afterlife memes? In STE the canon versions of all our characters are dead. What if there was a train bearing their spirits on to reincarnation here?

This is a meme where canon versions of the characters can interact. They all know they're dead. They may or may not remember just how they died, or how they got to be on this particular train. Doesn't matter if they'll be born decades apart - that just means some people disembark a little earlier than others. Go over brochures about what your new incarnation will be like, spontaneously turn or be human, try the snack cart, fail to convince the friendly but very busy conductor to give you a transfer, or simply chat.

You just can't stop the train, or leave it. Not yet.

[ ooc: hope you're okay with potential mushiness... ]

[ One might think Snow would fight tooth and nail to get off this train and somehow find a way to revive himself, but he's strangely complacent. He died, he knows that much... though he can't remember exactly what happened. If he feels this peaceful about it, then he must have died while helping someone. If his death meant someone else could be saved, well, he could accept that.

He barely glances over the brochure and decides to wander the train, too restless even in death to just stay in one place. He's already been wandering for a while by the time he finally sees her from further down the car. ...The obvious thoughts that should have made him realize what her presence here meant don't even cross his mind. Instead, he just brightens at the mere sight of her. What was a simple, peaceful afterlife was now more like a heaven now that he'd found his angel.

He keeps his distance for a little bit, waiting for her to shift her attention back out the window. When she seems to be distracted enough, he approaches wordlessly. He clasps his hands behind his back and leans forward so he's almost at about her height, looking like he's trying to see over her shoulder at whatever she's looking at from the aisle. ]

...This seat taken?

[ ooc: i am always okay with things! ]

[ Sneaky. The landscape outside is odd enough that Serah can easily watch it to the point of distraction. She's seen odder things, she knows, but...there's a certain strangeness to it that she can't put her finger on. She'd considered once or twice getting up and going into other cars, trying to find someone she knew - but as far as she knew everyone she'd loved who had died had died years before she had. Her father. Her mother.

She couldn't remember any of the others dying. Lightning. Snow. Noel. The other l'Cie, even those in crystal...If Serah had thought that any of them might be here with her, she would have searched. But they weren't here.

...Or so she'd thought, up until the moment she heard that voice. When was the last time...? There was the dream she'd broken out of, but actually speaking with him, and not a figment...the Sunleth Waterscape? No, longer than that, because that hadn't been the Snow from her timeline, had it?

Even knowing what that has to mean, Serah can't help the reflexive smile that comes just from hearing Snow's voice. She'd started turning the second he'd started speaking, and when he's done, Serah reaches up to hug him before even thinking of something to say.

It's just nice to see him again. Even if that means he died, too. ]

Snow! Well...I was saving it for someone special.

[ That's a lie. She hadn't given a thought to the seating arrangements until just this second. ]

...So it's taken now.
