The Train to STE Meme (SPOILERS for canon deaths)

You know those Train to the Afterlife memes? In STE the canon versions of all our characters are dead. What if there was a train bearing their spirits on to reincarnation here?

This is a meme where canon versions of the characters can interact. They all know they're dead. They may or may not remember just how they died, or how they got to be on this particular train. Doesn't matter if they'll be born decades apart - that just means some people disembark a little earlier than others. Go over brochures about what your new incarnation will be like, spontaneously turn or be human, try the snack cart, fail to convince the friendly but very busy conductor to give you a transfer, or simply chat.

You just can't stop the train, or leave it. Not yet.

[He laughs and shakes his head.]

I think I was the luckiest man in the world, but I think happier would definitely be nice.

I think we can always hope to be happier.

... How old were you when you died, miss?

[That's not a question she really thought she'd be asked.

She stopped counting a long, long time ago.] I don't know, really.

[He laughs.]

Me neither! The last birthday I remember is...

My three hundredth?

[She smiles at him.] You've aged remarkably well.

Haven't I? I'm amazingly good-looking for someone my age.

But that's why I didn't see it coming, you know? I was supposed to be immortal.

Immortality gets boring after a while, doesn't it?

It depends... [He leans back in his seat.] It wasn't a very good 300 years, for the most part, but I had a good time.

I guess it's for the most part that matters. And now we get to try all over.

I was honestly hoping for a break...

[He laughs and shakes his head.] You and I both! How's the new life looking?

Not awful. There could be much worse things, I suppose.

You think so? Like what?

Well, I'll have a loving mother, and a sister and father as well. I could not have them.

... [He smiles.] It looks like the next me will have a brother, too. No parents, apparently, but a brother and some neighbors. I think that would be nice.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean... [She didn't realize. She feels bad now.]

Huh?

You don't have to be sorry for anything. Like I said -- I think it would be nice. As long as this one remains mortal.

I guess you didn't expect to make it to 300?

Mmm.

I did! I fully expected myself to live that long, and longer, too.
