The Train to STE Meme (SPOILERS for canon deaths)


You know those Train to the Afterlife memes? In STE the canon versions of all our characters are dead. What if there was a train bearing their spirits on to reincarnation here?

This is a meme where canon versions of the characters can interact. They all know they're dead. They may or may not remember just how they died, or how they got to be on this particular train. Doesn't matter if they'll be born decades apart - that just means some people disembark a little earlier than others. Go over brochures about what your new incarnation will be like, spontaneously turn or be human, try the snack cart, fail to convince the friendly but very busy conductor to give you a transfer, or simply chat.

You just can't stop the train, or leave it. Not yet.

Likewise. [It was a little funny. They already did have some similar features. Same shade of unruly blonde hair. Bright eyes, strong build, fair skin. Similar jawline even. There were more differences, yes, but they could pass off as being related if they wanted. She wondered how it is that people were paired up.

I got plenty off food. More than I probably should have so there is enough for the both of us. Might as well eat all we can while it doesn't effect us, yea?

[Owain stares at the food, mouth a little agape. So many things he doesn't recognize! He at once grabs a pastry and sits, taking a huge bite and making a slightly embarrassing noise]

Sacred Stones, these are amazing! I suppose you're right: the dead can't really get sick or ... weighty.

[He finishes the treat, before:]

So, Winry, since before long we won't have the chance to share them... tell me about your self. If we're going to be siblings-

She gave a bemused chortle at his obvious enjoyment. Did they not have sweets like these where he came from? Or was it just not something accessible to him? No matter, it made her happy to see him enjoying them.

For now Winry focused on his question, giving it some thought. "Well, I suppose you could say I'm a mix of a doctor and a technician." Who knew where he came from and if they had automail. The thought made her shudder, but it was a very real possibility. Best to try and not use any specific terms.

"I run a place where I help people heal up after injuries, and I specialize in making mechanical prosthetics that help them continue on with their life as unimpeded as possible. I grew up in the countryside in a small village called Rizenbul--it was beautiful."
