So, imagine for a moment that a giant snake wrecked your downtown area, and instead of just leaving behind massive amounts of destructive, that it opened something else. A glowing, pink portal appears in the middle of Locke’s business district. And through it come some very... interesting characters.

[You know what today is for this dark haired young man? It's comic book release day which is why this college student is around and about despite having homework (that's not due until next week, but he still likes to get ahead of the game). Sure, a giant snake attacked, but that makes it more essential to go about his regular day. It's not like his adoptive father even cared to call up on him to make sure he was okay. If he did, then he might have purposely missed that call.

Headphones on, he's walking along, getting some food from the stands, and maybe even nodding his head at the people he passes by to be polite. Even if he hardly smiles, it doesn't mean he's not polite.

[Well, this is certainly something. The area reminds him heavily of Yu Liberte yet something seems off with how mechanical it is. Almost as if the Amarcians had gotten their hands on a city. No matter, he will investigate this place at once. Hands behind his back as he walks, he inspects the town -- perhaps a victim of some sort of war? Nothing surprising, really, since his world is used to such things.

He'll still go around and see if everyone's okay however. Despite is less than personable nature, he has the ability to heal others if it comes to that.]

[Andrew's pretty out of it as he heads down the street, groceries in hand. He's been up all night studying for a physics exam and now that it's over and his errands for the day are done, he's just about ready to crash.

It's only when he misses someone in front of him and accidentally walks straight into Hubert that Andrew starts waking up. Still, the first thing he says is more of a mumble.]

Oh, sorry about that.

[Hubert himself isn't exactly paying the most attention, caught up in a song that came up on random on his phone. When he feels the other man run into him, he falters back a little but regains his bearings rather quickly. Observing him, Hubert can tell he's tired... likely a worn out college student cramming for an exam.

Still, he shows no emotion really. Naturally, he's a little ticked off, but more or less empathetic to who could be a fellow student.]

It's quite alright. [There's a moment of silence as Hubert presses up against the bridge of his glasses.] Are you okay?

Huh?

[Not what Andrew expected, after he was the one to bump into the guy. He could do with a break, honestly, but he's not about to dump all his problems on a stranger.]

Uh...I guess so. I'm just a little tired, that's all.
