You'd be right. [this is not looking good. she has a pretty good idea of who this guy might be, even without knowing much about Karl's past life. It at least kind of explains what the portal is doing.] Did you show up by the portal?

[The possibility of going to other worlds, while far-fetched, can't be ruled out. Weird town in a weird place leaves little room for other explanations. Either that or he's going senile at his old age.]
