An expression! My apologies. It only means that it's not something I've had to deal with in my line of work.

Is that so? Curious. Can I ask about these blue ones?

They are called wormholes. They tend to occur in space rather than within a planetary atmosphere, but they can theoretically carry an object from one point in space-time to another, completely unrelated point. They can also connect different dimensions and unrealized realities to one another, though I have yet to fully understand that particular function.

I do wish Crichton were here. He is the expert on wormholes. Do you know if anyone has attempted to re-enter the singularity?

I was hoping to discover more about this place before trying to return home. Or wherever else it might lead. Seems others have felt the same, or else have turned back out of my sight.
