A glowing, pink portal appears in the middle of Locke’s business district. And through it come some very... interesting characters.

[Jack hadn't actually been planning on firing anything, but his plans changed abruptly when Hajime (or was it Chalice) opened fire on him. What's fair was fair, and he fired a pair of blasts in self-defense. One which absorbed one of the shots. But not the rest. One goes wide, one grazes his cheek, and one nails him in the shoulder. Is such an undignified sound of pain something that an Undead should be making?]

[But hey, he's bleeding green, even as he clutches at his shoulder and backs away all the faster. If he hadn't been panicking before, he's panicking now.]

[The blast that did not absorb some of the shots actually hits, knocking Hajime back a bit. It does not, however, seem to deter him.]
