A glowing, pink portal appears in the middle of Locke’s business district. And through it come some very... interesting characters.

[[a small glare at Other!Hajime as he follows.]] He's not undead. He's human. Don't matter what he's turning into, he's human.

[The response is Hajime complaining for Bakura to leave his mother out of this. That's playing dirty pool.

The look that passes across this Hajime's face suggests a bit of jealousy, but he quells it quickly enough. He can sense the other's Undeadness, knows the other is an Undead just as he is, but there is no denying that longing to be human he realizes the other must have. There's a slight nod.]

Very well. Human, then.

Damned right... [[half mutters, pocketing his phone]]

[[a glance over]] So if you are who he's remembering being... [[a moment before he shakes his head]] Whatever, doesn't matter.

[chalicejoker]

Remembering being?

[That earns Bakura an odd look, but at least Hajime keeps moving. He also keeps glancing over his shoulder in the direction of Japantown and also the office in which Jack works, for he's picked up on the presence of the Jack of Diamonds. How annoying.]

If you are who I think you are, he's remembering your life and getting back your abilities. He already has some of those cards and the belt and two transforms. [[it's a very clipped explanation.]]

Here's hoping you don't remember this else there's going to be a hell of a continuity fuck up later...

[Okay, now he's even more confused and more than a little concern, because no, there is no world that needs someone suddenly transforming into the Joker.]

[Hajime seems a bit satisfied with that, at least. And the portal's getting close now; it's come into view.]

He should stay out of this thing, as well.

[Only he's failed to realize that this Hajime is just a bit too sensible to walk into strange portals, pull of unusual power or no pull of unusual power.]

Again, no shit. If it leads to where you came from, it's the last place I want him to get sucked into!

[Hajime doesn't really comment to that beyond a nod, but he does have another question.]

The Jack of Diamonds is here, too...I suppose he's one of yours, as well.

Jack of... [[blinks]] ... Fuck, right, Hajime's cousin would be a card too, if he's the same. Goddamnit.

[Hajime scowls. At least he's getting closer to that portal and can get out of this place.]

And the Peacock Undead can't be trusted.

[There's a slight frown.]

We're in the middle of the second one...and what do you mean, one type of card?

[[Bakura's quiet a moment before reaching into his pocket, pulling out Dark Necrofear, first showing Hajime the back and then the front.]] Because it's 3,000 years for these. And they don't look the same.

For a while, we were thinking that they might be linked.
