Or the entire block is trashed and you'll be needing an alternate route to work. Or your workplace is trashed, if not some real estate you had in the area, and you'll be needing a helping hand - or are trying to offer one!
> Help, help, I've been robbed - your bag or wallet's just been snatched, or is in the process of being snatched. Catch the snatcher or rough them up - you may or may not be surprised, if you come to blows or a chase, to find on throwing a punch that they're much quicker and/or sturdier than you'd have expected. Maybe someone will dive in to back you up.

[While always welcome, Ariel is specifically invited over for dinner every once in a while. Mardís enjoys meeting her niece, and the rest of the family is just as happy to have her around. Today, there is only the four of them, and because Mardís suddenly got called to one of the other stores on an emergency and Jón is still doing some last minute homework, Þórir and Ariel are setting the table for the four of them.

Setting down the glasses, Þórir looks over at her.]

How has your workplace been faring since the earthquake?

[Although she had met her dad's side of the family here before when she was younger she'd never really had a chance to get to know them all that well, especially with all the traveling they did. She was therefore pretty happy to get to know them through family dinners. But she still feels a bit awkward about it all.]

Well some of the buildings were damaged superficially with some cracks, but one or two of them need to be fixed to be more structurally sound again. Those are closed off to the public while we're doing repairs, but by in large, the park is doing alright!

Were any of your stores damaged in the destruction of the city? I know it was localized more to the business district, but that doesn't mean there wasn't collateral damage.
