Catch the snatcher or rough them up - you may or may not be surprised, if you come to blows or a chase, to find on throwing a punch that they're much quicker and/or sturdier than you'd have expected. We're numbered. [And since this information, at least, is pretty harmless:] If you're one of the unlucky ones, you get a string of numbers in your head from out of nowhere and they're pretty hard to forget.

Because you just won't. The information's only available to the Numbered and there is literally no way to share it with someone who isn't.
