I don't think I've even been in the office for years. But anyway, I'm checking things out so I can get a feel for what's going on.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I was out of town too. Just started working at my new job... I came back as soon as I could though.

Oh, nice. I should really check that place out again, it's been years. Is the trail with that one tree that looks like it's smiling at you still around? The bridge was kind of falling apart if I remember.

[He makes a gesture with his hand to give the visual of the branch that hung low and was bent strangely.]

I think I know the one you're talking about. They replaced the bridge with a new one. One of those ugly things with no aesthetic value.

Well, that sucks. I hope they at least made it out of sustainable materials...

Sustainable, no. Durable? Well as durable as wood and metal usually are. [Small shrug.] We have to go with cost versus effectiveness at the park.

Hey, there are some really cost-effective options for sustainable construction too. Are funds an issue there?

[He looks concerned.]

I can't really say. My job is to keep people safe and to protect the park. that question is better suited to the paper pushers in the office.

I'll have to check it out, then. Paperwork isn't my thing either, but it can get things to change.
