[There's a wiry little boy, tidily-kept and in clothes picked for him by a prim 'n practical mother, hanging around at the edge of wherever the other kids are going about their business, for the most part keeping his mouth shut and skimming around goggle-eyed. He's got to make friends, try his luck, see if anyone will let him play with them!

He might just coast up to anyone who seems approachable, chance throwing in a laugh or a (tentative) question - anyone who doesn't meanwhile shouldn't find him a difficult target for being playfully snuck up on or roped into something.

He'll also take a much less tentative attitude toward approaching anyone who seems to be causing mischief. Not a firm one, exactly, but he'll make a valiant effort at it.]

[Xander thought he spotted his twin hiding and crept over to surprise him.]

[It took a few seconds for him to realize he had jumped someone who wasn't Conleth. In fact, he looked a bit mortified at startling the poor kid.]

[If the mortification wasn't caused by the sharp yelp! of the kid's, it may or may not make it worse!

Anthony whips around and faces - ohh, my, it's someone bigger, c'mon, he can figure out what just happened here!]

Are you - are you, are you, are you looking for someone?

[High, breathy, and sort of eager - is that what it is? Playing hide-and-seek? (Unless kids this... Not so much size necessarily, as Anthony's already getting some height on him, but "bigness", he doesn't know - something in his stature - don't play hide-and-seek.) Could he join in? Or is that someone just plain lost, and could he help out in finding them?]

[He backs off and bows his head, looking rather apologetic. There's a couple more apologies thrown in before looking up at the question.]

["Playing" is a little more faltering than the rest of what's said, because, of course, the alternative is that this is serious and he doesn't mean to mistake serious slightly-older-people business for playing.]

I'm not sure. We were playing hide and seek.

[There's a flash of concern on his face and a bit of anxiety in his frame.]

My brother looks exactly like me. Have... you seen him around here?

[He hums an "Mm" sound, shakes his head. Racks his brain for what the useful thing to say is.]

[That's what you do when someone or something is lost, no? Go back to where you were?]
