[Enter a 15 year old with a map and not watching where's going! This should be central park, right? There are trees and parks have trees so it should be? His brow furrows as he further buries his head in the map. So absorbed in finding where to go is this kid that he doesn't notice the crayons directly in his path until--

CRACK.

Karl blinks at the noise and stops walking. A quick glance down reveals broken crayons. Oh. Whoops.]

The language barrier (or perceived language barrier, at least) has no meaning right now- the scrunching up of the little boy's face and the tears beginning to form at the corner of his eyes is a pretty universal symbol.]
