ECHO CLASSIFIED ADS MEME



Have an Echo request that you're just dying to make but you can't seem to find a canon reoccurrence trigger for - or a trigger you'd love to bring into play in a specific way?

Consider this our first try at an Echo-specific plotting meme!

Gather up, post a comment for each of your characters, and fill out information on what Echoes you're looking to obtain or play about with either freeform or using the copypaste form for a start:

<b>Character:</b> REINCARNATED NAME | ORIGINAL NAME | CANON <b>Description:</b> [A quick blurb! Who are they? Who're they becoming? What are they currently up to?] <b>Seeking Triggers For:</b> [Feel free to make a list in bullet, paragraph, or whatever form you'd like of things you're particularly interested in getting for your character! Elaborate as much as you want on ideas for how they could Echo it, ways that you want them to discover it or get their start using it, etc. But please make the gist of what you want to get for them clear! For example, bolding or uppercase [E.x. <b>Lycanthropy</b> or TELEKINESIS.] <b>Unique Features/Abilities/Knowledge:</b> [What Echoes or other special features might they have that could induce an Echo from someone? For example, can they cast a magical spell with particularly showy effects? Are they a supernatural creature or have some features of one? Character: Misato Katsuragi | Neon Genesis Evangelion
Description: Misato Katsuragi is a fashion model turned Numbered who more-or-less uses the Network for her own personal entertainment in between shoots and after work. She doesn't really take this whole Numbered business too terribly seriously. Obviously, that's going to change once she gets some of her past memories back -- and as the game proceeds, naturally!

Seeking Triggers For:

- Getting trapped in an elevator with Kaji. We can either get trapped together, or Misato can make a panicked phone call to you while she's stuck in there.
- Her father putting her in the capsule right before Second Impact. Misato'd probably have to be trapped in someplace small-ish.
- Memories of Second Impact. Either first-hand when she was a child, or secondhand as an adult.
- Her awesome tactical skills. I'd really like her to remember that she was a strategist for NERV, and then potentially put them to work in-game here.
- Adam. Either seeing him during Second Impact, or seeing him with Kaji. This one's probably going to be hard to Echo from canon occurrence alone, unless anyone's got some giant white alien-thing dangling from a cross somewhere.
- Being carried piggy-back style after getting falling-down drunk after a night of drinking with Ritsuko and Kaji. Okay, mostly Kaji. Bonus points if we can Echo back the conversation they had afterwards, too.
- Kisses. Either with Kaji or with Shinji. Or both. God, this has the potential to be the most awkward Echo ever.
- Recalling that she joined NERV for her revenge against the Angels. This one would be particularly good if StE's alien forces did something to her own family.

These were the first things that came to mind off the top of my head, but I'd basically be happy Echoing back anything that happened in canon. If you have anything you want to do that mirrors any of the Evangelion episodes closesly, let me know and we can make it happen!

Unique Features/Abilities/Knowledge: Not much right now, actually! Unless you know about Angels or Eva or hot springs penguins, there might not be much she can do for you, unfortunately. However, I'm always happy to help replicate canon events for other people. If you're canon-familiar and know of something that I can do for you though, let me know! I'm always down for conspiring.

Penguins, hmm? Much chance of meeting one out and about somewhere?

You see, a penguin is the start of the trading sequence in Golden Sun, and while I'm not sure how that would pan out here in StE, it could be interesting to start it running. (The cow may be a sticking point. Possibly the turtle as well.)

Trading sequence? I don't know anything about Golden Sun, but I'm totally down for making this happen!

Unfortunately, it's unlikely Misato's going to take Pen-Pen out anywhere because wow she probably needs an exotic animal license or something for that thing, but it's extremely probable that he'll make appearances in her videos in the future. Alternatively, if Fred saw the video on the network earlier and wanted to get a closer gander at him, she'd have no problems with it. The people she's met on the network so far have been really nice, and she has no reason to think that won't be the case with him, too.

Yeah, it's kind of weird, based on my experience with other trading sequences. But it leads to one of the bonus bosses and the summon he's guarding, so there's that.

Probably just video appearances wouldn't be enough of a trigger - for that matter, I'm not entirely sure an in-person meeting would be enough, though I've got a good feeling about it - but I daresay a can-I-meet-him wouldn't be too hard to bring up.

Because guess how somebody got his first echo! And guess who got claustrophobic because of it.

Oh God. This is apparently a common Echo trigger.

True Story: Being trapped in an elevator is one of my biggest fears. :')

haha well in Jovan's case it was echoing back the feeling of being buried alive, but there's really no way to accurately replicate that in an every day setting, so. elevators just had to pick up the slack!

The real question will be: who'll freak out more when trapped in an elevator, Jovan or Misato?

Misato actually handled being trapped in the elevator a lot better than I would have. She pretty much waited it out with Kaji. The worst part of the whole ordeal was how sweltering it got inside that little box.

So Jovan, if I were to place a bet on it!
