Consider this our first try at an Echo-specific plotting meme!

Gather up, post a comment for each of your characters, and fill out information on what Echoes you're looking to obtain or play about with either freeform or using the copypaste form for a start:

Peruse at will and see what another character might have that interests you - or how yours can assist another one net an Echo!

Let's give it a go!

Character: Marisa Kirisame | Touhou Project
Description: The totally ordinary magician who defends the mystic land of Gensokyo from troublesome Youkai, and the packrat who annoys her friends when she doesn't have anything better to do.

Seeking Triggers For: - The return of the bag of holding effect that Marisa's hat apparently had. (it's never explicitly described as having any such powers, but she regularly pulls things out of it that would have been a bit awkward to fit in there.)
- Using the supernatural chill of ghosts to beat the heat during summer.
- The spell-card rules. Essentially Gensokyo's local strategic arms limitations. Since the nature of the setting is such that if everyone was throwing around all their power all the time then there are several characters who could destroy all of Gensokyo by accident, there are limitations on conflict, wherein people basically take turns throwing elaborate and elegant spells at each other until someone is totally overwhelmed by the complexity of the opponent's spell card.

Unique Features/Abilities/Knowledge: Marisa radiates a certain amount of magical energy to anyone who can sense such things, can fly on a broomstick (she can fly without it, but it's harder), fire giant lasers, build magical grenades, attach a magical rocket booster to her broomstick, and has a slowly growing knowledge of magical theory that allows her to reverse engineer the magical abilities of others and adapt them for her own style. She also has access to a variety of kinds of magical mushrooms.

did somebody say cards
not_good_not_wicked: (Well maybe a little bit.)

Whether they use actual physical cards is a gray area. In the games, the sprites apparently bust out cards when they use spell cards, but in the mangas and such, they don't. In general, though, I think the cards are more metaphorical than they are actual physical objects. Marisa mainly powers her spells through magical grenades or her handheld elemental furnace. Sorry to disappoint.

No big deal, it's not an important echo anyway (the way the cards in CoM work, it's unlikely they'd do anything outside Castle Oblivion. Though she could probably give Skyler a migraine-echo or two with them, heh.)
