[test] THIS WEATHER IS RIDICULOUS

Random scenario test drive meme. Some prompts:
> Ah god it's so hot and muggy how awful!
> The worst thing about summer cold snaps: you don't usually have your windbreaker handy because it's been so damn hot.
> The wind is perverse and trying to steal your things and/or crash stuff into you.
> It's raining wet vermy-things, as if the hail and possible storm wasn't bad enough. Now you have rain-echoes to deal with, at best.
> A nice day? I guess those exist?
So where are you?
> Caught way out in the open! At the beach, in the steet, at a fair, anywhere.
> Taking shelter! Bus stop, club you wouldn't normally frequent, bridge underpass, any port in a storm, any shade from the deathsun.
> In the mall or somewhere comfortably out of the elements, you lucky sunuvanek.
> Somewhere... else? idk, do what you want!
Have at thee!
Enter | Spec-Ops Cell Go-Busters
a pair of odd shades on an elastic goggle strap are around his forehead now, seemingly brought along with the wet swarm. were those there before?? not gonna try figuring out what's on his head for now, just cursing under his breath in French and trying to move faster. something's up.]
Merde, one would think today had already been enough...

Oh! I'm terribly sorry...

You may need something stronger than that.

[That umbrella took a bit of a hit from a falling Vermini, and it hasn't recovered. Mort's been flustered ever since, and the sudden gust of wind kicking up to try to blow it out of his grasp doesn't help. It's torn out of his hands, and it falls to the ground. As Mort bends down to pick it up, a tiny, doll-sized umbrella that matches his own falls out of a pocket. How odd. He'll scramble to pick that up, too. Explaining a randomly-appearing tiny umbrella is just more than he wants to deal with today.]
Re: Enter | Spec-Ops Cell Go-Busters
Sorry.

Tabarnak!
[he leans down, picking up the bag again. just gonna force that agitation back down.]
It's quite all right.

[this snide comment has been brought to you by one lolita who is sitting at a cafe, quite safe from the downpour thanks to the awning above her. her legs are crossed neatly and there's a cup of lightly steaming tea before her - she looks perfectly benign, but there's something about the way she tilts her head that makes it clear she's laughing at Cain on the inside]

[and with a flourish of his hand he flicks one of the crawling Vermini toward her, the wet bug landing on the table in front of the girl.]

[she doesn't do anything more than blink placidly, her tranquil mask holding its place remarkably well. instead Hikari reaches over to take a delicate sip from her tea, placing the cup back down over the Vermini and giving it an unnecessarily cruel twist]
no subject
[he has to admit, he liked the way she dealt with that thing.
may as well stop at a neighboring table, it's as good a place to get shelter as any.]

[she laces her fingers together, tone still conversational and pleasant. it's great when people decide to really engage]

Luckily the components she bought to finish her work was still in it's individual protection, but she wasn't willing to chance walking back in this rain after all the money they was going into it. Then there was that familiar face walking by conveniently just as she was going to decide to wait. Crunching her nose up at the chances, she took a breath and pushed out into the torrential downpour. If Cain was going to brave it, so would she.]
What a sad sight you are. You look almost drowned.
no subject
Brave words! Particularly when it should make two of us before long, ma petite soeur.
[Well. Misery loves company, anyway.]
no subject
I should have stayed safe where I was instead of finding out what madness convinced you to walk in this.
no subject
A desire to get home at a reasonable time, Calista. Is that now considered madness?
no subject
Maybe not, but doing so in this is definitely madness. Being impatient as usual?
no subject
Does it need to be asked? Besides, you are the one who joined me without so much as a second thought, non? Madness must be spreading.

[ She sighs and decided to clutch the bag to her chest to hold it. Although a thought has her brightening up]
Is your roommate at home?

Want me to carry something?
no subject
Valery! Merci. [And he hands off one of the eco-bags he's holding. It's the heavier one, if not by much. You asked, man.]
no subject
Where'd you get the new sunglasses? [They look like they came from LockeCon. And why is he wearing them in the rain?]
no subject
Quite honestly? I have no idea.
no subject
Come on, I want to get out of the rain.
no subject
Right, of course. Pardonne.
no subject
You're serious.
