The Train to STE Meme (SPOILERS for canon deaths)

You know those Train to the Afterlife memes? In STE the canon versions of all our characters are dead. What if there was a train bearing their spirits on to reincarnation here?
This is a meme where canon versions of the characters can interact. They all know they're dead. They may or may not remember just how they died, or how they got to be on this particular train. Doesn't matter if they'll be born decades apart - that just means some people disembark a little earlier than others. Go over brochures about what your new incarnation will be like, spontaneously turn or be human, try the snack cart, fail to convince the friendly but very busy conductor to give you a transfer, or simply chat.
You just can't stop the train, or leave it. Not yet.

Except to be approached by a very
majesticshort person who obviously died in a battle and walks around like he owns the place.]I'm looking for my nephews. Kíli and Fíli. Have you seen them?
no subject
[Kili, like Thorin, is still covered in injuries from the battle for Erebor. Unlike Thorin, though, he's not able to get up and look for him. The Morgul wound in his leg isn't too keen letting him do that.
Not that he wanted to, really. He was so hoping Thorin had survived, after all of it.
Still, when he hears Thorin's voice, he perks up from the bench he's laid himself out on, looking around for his uncle]
Thorin!

Kili? That you?

Even if this place is nothing like what he would have imagined to see in the afterlive, and reminds him of nothing from before - an odd, close off house that seems to be moving - they are at least together. He almost feared to not find them.
Unlike with the boys, his wounds are not hindering him as much, they seem healed to a point. He was cleaned up slightly before he died already, so he doesn't look quite as bad as they maybe remember last seeing him, either - there has been an attempt to save him, clearly, before he died. Not much of it, though - the injuries sustained were too obviously lethal for much, and then he requested to be put back into his armour so he could go properly.]
Kíli! [He goes for the younger one's voice, just because he is the younger one and Thorin will always instinctively trust Fíli more to find his way - especially after the events of Dale. It takes only moments before he finds him, and...
He hopes that he sent an apology to Dís before he died, he cannot quite remember. I couldn't bring your boys back to you. She is strong, and he knows that she will go on - his father's blood may flow in her, but she's stronger than that. Still.
Going down on one knee, his hand find's his nephew's arm, establishing contact. He really is here.] I'm here. [With everything that that implies.]

Fi--
[And then there's his uncle. Kili knew Fili was probably dead, they tended to do things together after all, but Thorin...
He hasn't cried in a few decades now, not in earnest, but seeing his uncle here is almost enough to get him started again. He reaches for Thorin and pulls him into a hug. Damn "acting his age". They're dead]
I'm so sorry, Uncle. We tried...
no subject
Mahal, it was true.
He failed.
He was supposed to protect his brother, and his uncle and king. He failed. He didn't know how he can meet their eyes.
]
Uncle...Kili.... [And that's when his legs failed him him and he collapses on the ground.]
no subject
Breathing out something that could be Mahal's name or a curse, he disentangles himself from his younger nephew without a second thought and goes over to get the older one over to them. Kíli will have to wait for a moment. Practical before emotional matters, and such.
As soon as he reaches the blond, he goes down on one knee, a hand on the younger dwarf's arm, firmly, almost grabbing it.]
Come. [He doesn't know if Fíli is not healed enough to walk, or if it is despair that brought him to his knees, but either way Thorin will make sure that he isn't further away from Kíli, and himself, than necessary. (And also not in the way of everyone ever passing by, but he's not really thinking of that now.)]
no subject
[Kíli goes to help his brother only to fall back to the bench in pain, wincing and in tears because his brother's hurt and he can't help him and Thorin's dead and they're all dead and this really, really is not what he wanted. All he can do is shift over so Fíli has a place to sit next to him on the bench if he wants it and watch]
no subject
And all this time, he couldn't look up. The arrow that killed him was gone from his eye but it was a mess. That, or the shame that filled his entire body.]
Ki...Uncle... I'm sorry. I failed both of you. Failed mother...I....
no subject
But then, he knew that he had failed to ensure their return before finding them here. He'd been able to make sure that Dís would find out from someone close to all of them, at least.] And your mother... she won't be alone. [Or at least he hopes so - he had both Balin and Dvalin promise him that they would look out for her. Somehow help her through even the last of her direct family leaving her. Not that that makes much better, but. She is strong. They have to believe in her.]
no subject
Mother will forgive us, won't she? We tried. We tried so hard to keep our promises.
[He hopes Dís forgives them, anyway, and that desperation is clear in his voice. Kíli couldn't handle it if he died and his mother never forgave him for it or never forgave Thorin for taking him on the quest or Fíli for going as well.]
And I--I was reading that paper they gave me. We're to be reborn together. That's something, isn't it?
no subject
Good...I'm glad. Mother shouldn't be alone. Not..not when we're all gone now. [He knew mother was strong but she'd lost so much already. To have done this to her, he wasn't sure if he could forgive himself of this, even if their mother forgave him.]
Even if they'd separated us, I'd find you again.
no subject
But that is a minor worry now. It's not the time to bring them up. Other things are more important.]
She forgave our father for bringing us into battle before any of us had even filled our 50th year; and your father when he left her. [And between those two, Thorin finds solace - it's the closest that he can come to an answer.] And she will know that we tried. [There were choices ill made; but in the end, it would not have changed a thing to make them differently.]
no subject
I doubt I would know them, good sir! But I suspect there may be a registry up front in the conductor's compartment. It's locked. I could unlock it, if you wish.
no subject
Too small, either way. He's not as confused by a giant talking bird as some others on the train would maybe be, but that doesn't mean that he isn't confused at all. It's just... somewhat softened. Especially because he has other things on his mind.]
...You have its keys? [Does that mean this ...bird - what is it's species? works here?]
no subject
[He bobs his tail and raises it behind him, confident-looking even though it's rather singed.]
But! I am a master of unauthorized access and it'd be a shame not to ply that trade once more before I lose it. Shall I?
no subject
[His tone carries - something odd in it, little contempt for such an occupation, less than it would have only days ago. Or however time passes here.]
If you see it possible, you shall. [He'd go with a lot shadier things than that right now, if it means that he'll find his nephews.]
no subject
Oh, good sir! While I might be that low at times, if I'm a thief it's of information - rather I am an agent, though I will admit sometimes it's hard to tell a difference.
Very well! [He pecks up a last coffee bean, hops on to the floor, and begins strutting along the aisle. Yuuya's not far off from hobbit-sized, though he's built very differently.] I'm Sakazaki Yuuya, by the way. S-rank agent with the Dove Party. [It's alarming to confess that, but also kind of liberating - and it's a pretty minor secret, the sharing of which won't hurt anything.] Which I suspect won't mean anything to you. Ah, well.
no subject
What do you require for your service?
no subject
[He is actually quiet, for a bit.]
Well I suppose I don't really want to see my brother here - but, well, pigeons live shorter lives than humans.
no subject
Pigeon. Quite large for one.] Yet a human lifespan is nothing of length already. [He nods; if the bird was more closely acquainted with humans he would probably notice the tell-tale differences - not only in height, but also in build. And if he was from the same world, also in name and title, dress and gear. Which is why it doesn't occur to Thorin that he might have been mistaken for a human in the first place.]
no subject
[Yuuya tilts his head in a particular way, more or less equivalent to raising an eyebrow.] I think we have differing perspectives here, o king under the mountain! So, you are not human.
