The Train to STE Meme (SPOILERS for canon deaths)

You know those Train to the Afterlife memes? In STE the canon versions of all our characters are dead. What if there was a train bearing their spirits on to reincarnation here?

This is a meme where canon versions of the characters can interact. They all know they're dead. They may or may not remember just how they died, or how they got to be on this particular train. Doesn't matter if they'll be born decades apart - that just means some people disembark a little earlier than others. Go over brochures about what your new incarnation will be like, spontaneously turn or be human, try the snack cart, fail to convince the friendly but very busy conductor to give you a transfer, or simply chat.

You just can't stop the train, or leave it. Not yet.

[Kili thinks for a moment before shrugging]

Don't think so. S'not as if it'll kill me after all.

[And this is why his mother and uncle were going gray.]

Are you a Wizard, then?

[ Sora gives him a thumbs up and grins. ] True! Here we go.

[ Casting the spell should only take the work of a moment, the white light surrounding Kili fading quickly as it searches for and destroys any poison it finds. (But will it work, though...?)

Sora answers his question while the light fades. ]

Nah. Learned some magic from a couple of wizards, but I'm more... Something else?

[It works well enough, though he's still in a lot of pain. Still, he's able to move better]

One of the Valar, then?

[He's hoping that's not the case because if it is oh holy Father.]

I mean, I've never heard of a Wizard teaching anyone any sort of magic before...

Valar? [ ... Now that's a word he's never heard before. Huh. Well, there are a lot of worlds he never got to... He shakes his head and starts glowing green again, this time intending to heal his leg. ]

Never heard of them. You've got wizards in your world, though? Yen Sid? Merlin?

[Right. This is not the afterlife promised to Dwarves or Men or anyone else. Huh.]

No, I've never heard those names. Just Gandalf.

[ Sora thinks for a moment. Gandalf, Gandalf... He shakes his head sadly, casting his spell and covering them both in green light. That there's a Curaga. If there's something that isn't patched up by now, well. Now it is. ]

I guess I've never been to your world! Crazy. What is it like?

[Kili's distracted by the sudden lack of pain and takes a few moments to move around. He doesn't move to sit up properly since he's comfortable here, but he does shift a bit more]

Middle-earth? I don't know how to describe it.

[But Mahal, does he miss it already]

Big, I suppose.

[ He moves back so Kili can have himself some wiggle room! He smiles. There we go. ]

Big, huh... That's fair. Just big, though? What was in it?

[Because he may be dead but Middle-earth isn't. It's still there, and one day he and Fili and the rest of the Dwarves will go back and remake it, just like they were promised. It just may, apparently, take a while]

What isn't? Elves, Hobbits, Men naturally, and Dwarves of course...rivers, mountains--everything, really.

Is. [ Sora agrees, taking the correction with a very serious face. Yes. It's very important that his world isn't destroyed.

Buuut the litany afterward blows him over. He waves his hands between them. ] Whoa, whoa, slow down! Elves, ok. Hobbits? Dwarves?

What, there is a place where you have Elves but not Dwarves? Hobbits I could understand--they don't like strangers all that much--but no Dwarves?

[Kili is properly offended]

I'm a Dwarf. Kili, son of Dis and sister-son to Thorin Oakenshield.

[ Sora thinks really hard about this...! ]

A princess I once knew was friends with a group of dwarves, but yeah, nothing about hobbits. [ And to be honest, he's thinking Santa's elves. Haaa. ]

Well, it's nice to meet you! I'm Sora, uh... son of my mom and dad? And does that make Thorin Oakenshield yourrrr... Uncle?

Hobbits are shorter than we are, with big feet with hair on the tops. They're very sneaky, though, and like I said they don't care much for strangers. I didn't even really know of them until we met Bilbo.

[He misses Bilbo]

And he's my uncle, yes, and hopefully King Under the Mountain by now.

[ Sora stares at Kili for a second, then slooowly look down at his own feet. Uh... his feet are pretty big. Just sayin'. He's not going to pursue that topic for now, but yes. ]

King Under the Mountain? So... that makes you like a prince, sort of, right?

[Yes but he's wearing shoes]

Yes, sort of. Fili was always more the prince, though, being Uncle's heir.

[ THAT IS SOME ESSENTIAL INFORMATION THERE KILI ]

Fili? So that makes him... your cousin? Brother?

Older brother. Thorin never married. Too busy for it, Ma said, what with the Mountain and getting us all settled in the Blue Mountains.

[ Sora laughs, settling in more comfortably. ] Ok, back up. So there's the Mountain - the Lonely Mountain - and the Blue Mountains, right? And that's where you lived?

Yes. It's...it's a long story and I don't know how it ended, to tell the truth. I'm dead, after all.

Yeah, true. [ ... And maybe that means he's the age he looks. Oh. Sora frowns, tilting his head. ]

Wanna tell me about what you know? We can always talk about something else. I got lots of stories.

[He shrugs. Honestly, it hurts to think about Erebor and everyone but he's good at hiding some things]

I'm not much for story-telling. You said you knew a princess?

[ ... He's not gonna let him get away from that so easily, but he's pretty sure they've got time. :U he will be back for this information later! ]

Yeah, seven of 'em! [ ... Well, the next part would probably only have mattered if keeping the secret would have protected the world order, but seeing as how they're dead and all. ] They were all from different worlds.

That's the second time you've mentioned other worlds. There are others?

Uh... [ ... He kind of did, didn't he? Whoops. Oh well, it's not as though it matters. ] Yeah. It's kind of what I did before all this. World hopping... Going to see other places.

We've no stories that tell of any world beyond the one we go to after death--and this is not it. What sorts of other worlds did you visit?
